The Westbury (Turnpike Lane)

• The Sunday Roast is also quite good
• The bad news is that the weekday food is really not very good
• I remember this pub when it was under previous ownership and it was always a very friendly and cheap local
• The decor left something to be desired but it was well worth a visit being both cheap and unpretentious
• Hopefully this is just a pub trying to find its identity
• I suspect that the food is excellent as the menu looks both reasonable and appetizing and once sampled I will update my post accordingly
• I liked it before the refit when it was a bit of a run down rock pub but in a completely different way
• The chef even offered us an extra canape for free since he was trying out a new recipe which was great
• Atmosphere and Sunday roast are all fantastic
• It took a while to the staff notice us and the food (we both choose burguers) was nothing special
• I think The Westbury (Turnpike Lane) is more a spot to meet friends for a drink and for that is great
