  • The Victoria is their latest addition and having very recently been opened to the public

  • This newly renovated iconic building is already winning a strong following

  • This venue is full of surprises and exploring the many floors of the Victoria is delightfully fascinating

  • First on the tour was the roof space

  • As well as the roof space there is a Kitchen Room with a view of the chefs creating the meals of the day

  • In the spacious outdoor space there is a cocktail caravan named after the former owner and international boxer Charlie Magri

  • My favourite is the hidden speakeasy in the basement

  • Leading to a collection of humorous incidents involving those who do not know there are a bunch of people watching them from behind the glass

  • In this speakeasy there is no drinks list

  • The food served in these cosy corners and big sharing tables dotted around The Victoria is British Tapas

  • All the ingredients are sourced from local suppliers as well as their own rooftop collection

  • The Victoria therefore takes pride in its food and all dishes are hearty and seasonal

  • The Victoria is well priced considering the fresh and sustainable quality of the ingredients used in the food

  • The residents of Mile End are immensely lucky to have not just a standard pub

  • The Victoria is a comfortable place to relax and socialise or have a fun night out

  • Family and is even dog friendly too

  • The newly renovated pub The Victoria is just that and so much more

  • The Victoria is brought to you by The yummy pub

  • The first floor has separate rooms with a different theme

  • The family friendly room is great for the kids to hide away from the pub front

  • The secret stash of scotch is hidden in a cupboard

  • Take a closer look and you think your eyes and mind is playing tricks with you when you see a flicker of candlelight&rsquo

  • The rooftop farm is a great addition for knowing what goes in your food

  • The mixologists conjure some great combinations and the live band was a joy to watch

  • Quite an amazing pub with great traditions and style

  • The British dish was incredibly made with decorations

  • Style and it was well cooked

  • S doing an impressive job on its own with chickens on the roof laying fresh eggs

  • So it was with interest I noted it had closed and was being taken over by the Yummy Pub Co

  • I immediately found them on Twitter and was chuffed to be invited to their opening

  • You can hire this out and get it stocked with any kind of booze you want

  • Honey and mustard sausages etc were on offer as well as some interesting vegetarian items which I thought were particularly nice

  • When Stephen was brave enough to try the cod and mushy pea version

  • From there we were shown the rooftops where the plan is to use the flat roofs to grow herbs and veg

  • We went back inside and were treated to several cocktails made with the bartender&rsquo

  • Such as whiskey with orange and cinnamon

  • The Vic as she is affectionately known also keeps a little secret

  • S just say downstairs is not all that it seems

  • We spent another couple of hours in there the place was busy but not crowded

  • T want the pub to reopen so they are having to go out of their way to win over the neighbours and the result is a pub that is a cut above the norm

  • Portions seem to get smaller with each visit

  • I think the pub itself is very confused as to what sort of place it wants to be

  • For food there are better places only a stone's throw away

  • I've been here before and the pub itself is really nice

  • We sat in the back garden where someone came to take our drink order I wasn't yet ready which I wish I was because then I had to wait 15 mins to get someone's attention to order my drink

  • The portion was about a palm sized dry breaded browned salmon without much flavour

  • My cousin ordered the pimp my burger which was nearly £

  • The burger was unable to hold because it was packed with an over done burger and greasy pulled pork

  • All in all the EXPIRENCE was abit embarrassing

  • They even have a yoga class upstairs which was really good

  • After a 20 minute wait for the sticky date pudding I was presented with burnt cake

  • Apparently sticky date does not need to be sticky and is fine served burnt

  • The night was young and we were situated at The Victoria for my friend&rsquo

  • As most neighborhood gastropubs are and surely would have evoked some fond memories for the folk

  • The burgers looked mostly tasty but rather minuscule and the pulled pork burger bun was charred to the &ldquo

  • Feel clever enough and an alright substitute with the casing almost right

  • The peas were the usual and the mash was pleasant and creamy

  • Happy for the bite and the service and staff were accommodating over our long stay
