  • The format is a buffet and you can pay by the box or by gram

  • A cunning arbitrage is the first thing that comes to mind but instead of filling the box with the densest items and choosing to cunningly not pay by the gram I get a nice selection

  • They are keen to point out that they are cheaper than Ottolenghi

  • I find some dishes slightly under seasoned and others slightly different to what I expected most likely due to substitutions to comply with vegan requirements

  • Vantra Vitao is pretty good at making dishes for vegetarians and vegans

  • The place is very casual and everything is ready as in a self service restaurant

  • Is closer to a mousse with some delicious cacao

  • Eating the main dishes is a real experience which your stomach might not be able t handle at first

  • I visited eco restaurant Vantra on Oxford Street at the weekend with my aunt (a vegetarian of 20+ years) to indulge in delicious veggie/vegan food

  • This unusual and inspired restaurant is ideally located at the Tottenham Court Road end of Oxford Street

  • The produce used is all organic and mostly raw to maintain its &ldquo

  • Whereby food is never heated above 48 degrees C

  • The counter is full of vats of curry

  • Next the hot chocolate is topped with flaked coconut and coconut syrup to sweeten &ndash

  • Your congratulations are welcome and apologies if you have been waiting for your vegan fix blog as I wasn't able to to write last week

  • Especially for anybody who has food intolerances as they cover all of them from lactose intolerant to people with Candida overgrowth

  • Especially for somebody like me who never has cash on her is that they only take cash

  • If not there is a cash point across the road so you are not totally screwed if you forget

  • The place is fairly cosy and dimly lit which seems to be a theme with a few of the vegan places which I have been to lately but I quite like that

  • All I need is sunshine in the day and candles at night

  • Tables and chairs are made from huge logs of what seems like pine tree

  • It was busy as it is most times and a lovely hippy waiter created a free table for me to sit at and enjoy my food

  • Everything is presented in huge metal and wooden plates with an Indian twang to it

  • I can sometimes go crazy with buffets and get a bit excited

  • I weighed my plate and was told that it was just over £

  • The moussaka which is made from chickpeas again

  • I am not complaining as it's full of protein and it was quite acidic for my pallet due to it being tomato base and as much as I love tomatoes they are quite acidic especially when cooked

  • The marinated aubergines with peppers and other yumminess was my favourite

  • It's a cold dish and is packed with flavour and zing

  • To top it all off I went for the chocolate genache with berry compote

  • No wonder people say chocolate is better than sex

  • It's actually surprising and slightly terrifying how easy and delicious it is to eat wheat

  • The complexity with which they are used

  • Cor of the restaurant is cosy and organic

  • Who brought our drinks (chai latte with wholesome and deliciously sweet coconut milk) and their winter punch

  • The flavours were intense and whilst a healthy dish

  • They excitedly sampled a variety of dishes and were similarly happily surprised at the tastes and textures they were met with

  • Organic and easy going place which is kind to the wallet

  • Quite impressed with Vantra (Soho)

  • Had detox fruit juices and they were really really good

  • The chocolate cake was ok but too moussey and soft

  • Cauldrons filled with vegan goodness and staff that follow the same mantra as the food they serve

  • The room is dark with heavy wooden chairs and candles throughout

  • Dessert is some of the best I've had so fresh

  • Amazing range of options and the food was really filling too as someone who eats meat I was hesitant to try as many vegan restaurants have disappointed in the past

  • Vantra (Soho) was a pleasant surprise
