• So expectations were high for Three Eight Four
• The fact that the bar was at full capacity when we arrived only added to the anticipation
• They won me over instantly with their well lit bar surface
• I went straight for a Smoked Manhattan Pikeseville Rye with Punt e Mes
• I wasn't so taken with the Negroni Sbagliato Campari &
• Caroline chose well with Bombay Kitchen Opihr Indian spiced gin &
• Last but not least was Tart'n Tide Auchentoshan lowland whisky
• They've created an interesting little menu and there were some real winners in there
• Classic cocktails are also available
• I'm sure you won't go far wrong with the likes of reuben sliders
• Bearded types are settling to die &ndash
• A new cocktail bar with exposed brick walls
• Distressed unisex loos kitted out with self consciously retro hand dryers
• The place has a pulse that positions it perfectly as the scene of a first date with a one time scenester

• We were the first customers and there were around 7 members of staff
• T asked how I wanted the steak which is normally always asked and we weren't asked if we wanted any drinks
• We were then asked how the food was and I pointed out that we hadn't received the ribs
• We were told they were on their way
• We didn't eat them and I told a member of staff about how poor they were and the very poor service
• I can't see Three Eight Four (Brixton) lasting long if this is the kind of service that the first 2 customers get with an abundance of staff
• We ended up ordering some food as well which was great so many things on the menu looked delicious
• Great snacks with the cocktails
