Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf)

• Lots of staff though (who are busy smoking Shisha
• I thought it was bloody amazing
• I walk past it everyday and see that is busy everyday
• Albeit there were teething issues when the place first opened
• Service has improved and I'm in there 3/4 times a week with plenty of wharfers
• You should definitely give it another chance as you've probably been very unlucky with the bad experience or are extremely difficult to please
• We managed to land on bad day a Friday night with a group of 12 and had to put up with a wait of over 1 hour
• Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) is a bargain where else would you get to smoke a sheesha costing 15 for 2 3 hours with almost regular coal changes
• That coupled with a novelty factor in canary wharf explains why Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) is ALWAYS packed I have seen Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) doing brisk business when the other 5 6 pubs next door are completely empty
• The food took considerable time to come but it was tasty without doubt
• The waiter said that they are not accepting any more orders because they had a long queue in kitchen
• Another 1 hour wait and this time we could make out that there indeed there was a rush in kitchen
• The sheesha tent was very crowded and it took them almost 50 mins to find place for a group of 8 with an expected waiting of 10 mins told to us in beginning
• The service was not the best as it took more than an hour for starters to be served to us
• It took them more than 1 hr again to serve the mains which were not cooked properly
• We went in with high hopes given that this is the only place of its kind in the Canary Wharf area
• The Sheeshas are decently priced and there is a wide selection available
• We had to wait for almost an hour before anything was served The kitchen is small and there were only few chefs preparing the food
• The food overall was not bad though when it finally arrived
• A mate of mine got into argument with waiter who refused to take his order because the kitchen staff said they were being overwhelmed and overworked
• We were a group of friends and getting a place for ourselves was quite a task
• We probably had to wait for half an hour but was definitely not worth it
• I'm sure one would compromise with the service and the waiting time but not food
• I wouldn't call Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) a restaurant not because it is in a makeshift tent
• Also not because the only other chaotic scene I have ever seen is 2 years old at jamboree
• The only thing good about Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) is the sheesha
• Went there with a bunch of friends
• Lemon and mint and pink lemonade are absolutely divine
• The location is ideal and in summer
• Would definitely recommend Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) for a relaxed evening out with your friends
• My friends and i are now a regulars at temple lounge and have to agree that the service WAS questionable
• In its defense i think it was just a case of staff finding their feet with it being a new place
• I guess to tackle the service issues and the place is now a delight
• The menu for both shisha and food is exceptional so we never get bored when visiting 2/3 times a week
• Me and my wharf bankers are a regular at Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) whenever i am in the city
• Yes i agree with some comments on staff however when i went on Thursday 18th April i did see some massive changes and a much improved staff also additional staff
• People need to understand that it is a new place and it takes time for workers to settle in
• I really hope the best to the owner in Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) and i did want to congratulate you my self however
• They offered me to share with someone I dont know
• The food is ok but is let down even more by the delays
• The manager is also extremely rude and blames the customer for everything
• Our experience was an utter nightmare
• I repeatedly saw waiters letting other customers through (All Female) and at one point this was pointed out to the waiter by a waiting customer by which an argument was formed
• It took another 20 mins for a waiter to take our order with our chairs constantly being knocked and being told to tuck them in further
• Food quality was really poor as well
• The saving grace for this restaurant is the Sheesha which wasn't very nice either
• Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) is terrible from the moment you arrive
• Will not accommodate and are extremely rude
• The desserts are horrible and the shisha compared to other places is more expensive and harsh
• The service is bad and the concept of paying a cover charge even if you are not having the Shisha is very annoying
• Make me wonder if anything ever changes and if humans as a species are actually progressing
• Temple Lounge is one of these places
• The food was alright and there were a few pretty young girls there if that's your thing (I'm guessing from QMW or Westminster you know the type)
• What I do have a issue is the following
• Around 30 mins later a bill is placed on our table without us requesting it
• I have a look at the bill and see that there is a charge of over £
• We were then explained that there was a 2 hour limit
• It seems logic and common sense was beyond the capacity of understanding for the incompetent service staff
• You should make us aware when we are near the end of our 2 hour slot and we would then order other items to make the minimum value
• I really don't put up with substandard service
• The only reason people flock up here is because of the sheesha which isnt even great
• The servers are the least bit helpful
• Then there is the cash only factor
• Its cramped and there is also a risk of knocking over someone elses pipe and setting something or someone on fire if you are not too careful
• The nail on the coffin was the wanted £
• I tired the sea bass with a side of aromatic rice which was not too bad but the fish was not fresh and overcooked
• It has a great view which can be enjoyed with outdoor seating
• The restaurant is open and spacious however it's mostly busy which can result in orders being delivered late
• The food wasn't anything special in my opinion but the atmosphere and environment in which it is located is what made me stay and somewhat made up for the loss
• It's a great place to enjoy a meal and shisha whether it may be with friends or with your partner on a date
• Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) is very disappointing
• These timings are completely different from those mentioned on their website
• This is a great place to chill along with your friends
• The starters that we ordered along with it were really appealing and appetizing
• Visited Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) before and was bowled over by the delicious ice creams and incredibly mouthwatering flavors
• They are extremely creative and every flavor is a reflection of it
• The place has improved since its introduction and amazes me with its good quality of food and service
• The service on the other hand was abominable and pathetic
• Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) is the best example for the extremely inefficient and inattentive service
• Their concept is to charge by the number of people that are sitting on the table and even if some one is not eating anything still they would charge for that person as well
• The service was quite terrible and the staff was least bothered about the customers
• The lentil soup is the only good thing
• The ambiance is brilliant and very exciting
• The pricing as per the food served is cheap and the food served is amazing
• If you are looking for a place to chill with your friends then Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) won't fail to amaze you
• Numerous dishes on the menu were just average
• And a few other things that were completely useless I can't even remember
• I would therefore recommend to stick with Shisha and tea
• Beautiful venue that can be an amazing place to hang out if it was managed better

• Took a while to get seated but it was extremely busy
• Milkshakes are super tasty tho
• Staff sat me and a friend inside where it was stuffy and the waiters stood around staring at us making us feel extremely uncomfortable
• Food at Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) was extremely disappointing and extremely overpriced for the quality of their food
• The shisha here is ok and you can bring your alcohol but you have to spend £
• Went there for lunch with my mates and ordered their chicken sandwich
• The food was good and so were the shakes
• Service is OKAY and views from Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) are good as well
• We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and the hot chocolate along with pan kiwi sheesha and pink lemonade sheesha
• The Shawarmas are the best I've had in London so far I didn't realize how much I missed the typical garlic sauce (Thoum) I can definitely vouch for everything else on the menu
• People were ordering things and they just looked so good I would have ordered them myself but the shawarma was pretty filling
• The hot chocolate was amazing which was perfect for the cold London weather
• I think although that the sheesha could be a little better the coal died too fast and no one was bothered to change it as often
• Customer service is appalling and to top it off the shisha is abominable
• It tastes burnt with no flavour
• The host became aggressive so was unable to come up with a resolution
• I visit Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf) with my friend quite often
• The daal soup is very nice here with a bit of pepper
• Temple special chicken is supposedly star as all of my friends are fans of it
• The shakes are quite nice
• The mint tea here is pretty decent sized portion and also value for money
• With a few pics there are other items in the menu which are not as good and the place actually might just work as a shisha lounge with drinks and nibbles
• Not only was the service appalling but so was the attitude me and a friend had received from all staff
• I did not understand as it is simply a restaurant
• As a paying customer I would have expected so much more from an establishment that is not only renowned but get such higher praise from the public
• I think they are like that simply to their location
• Overpriced and the food was below average too
• The rating on Zomato is perfectly fine and fits to Temple Lounge (Canary Wharf)
