The Summerhouse (Maida Vale)

• The batter is quite unique with some spiciness to it
• Their meat options are delicious too
• Do not go for a salad as they are neither worth the money nor exceptional
• I can assure you that it is highly unlikely to be a miss
• The creme brulee is just delicious
• So don't be too conventional with your choices and most of all
• You'll feel like you are in a beachhouse
• One of the best places to go to in little venice
• Also the owner is always there and he's fun to chat with
• The Summerhouse is what I imagine an elegant restaurant in the Hamptons to be like
• We shared a bottle of the house white with dinner and I thoroughly recommend it
• Dessert we shared the Eton mess with strawberries and chocolate mousse with coffee creme and chocolate chip cookie
• The chocolate mousse was definitely pleasant
• The cookie was a nice touch but still something was lacking
• Perhaps we were foolish to have sacrificed starters for desserts after all
• Eating at The Summerhouse in Little Venice is like a getaway to Nantucket but in London
• They have a lovely little lounge section as well where you often see a local seated with a coffee and a book on a Sunday morning
• The fish heavy menu is refreshing and nice for a special night out
• The restaurant has a casual but chic nautical theme with a really family friendly vibe
• Our little group were treated to three courses of fairly classic dishes
• The service was accommodating and familial
