Stokey Bears (Stoke Newington)

• Food absolutely fantastic the actual patty is one of the most flavoursome in London and there is a lot of competition
• The overall burgers are first class and up there with the absolute best
• The brilliance in Stokey Bears (Stoke Newington) is very high and the burgers are also great
• A new collaboration with Bear Hug Brewing on Stoke Newington Road
• Grizzly Bear is the obvious choice
• A meaty cheeseburger with double oak smoked bacon and that bacon jam you've been hearing about
• The Bruno Lager is very drinkable and a strong companion for the burgers
• Their journey was treacherous

• I got the Burger Bear with Angry fries and it was all so nice
• My partner got the Angry bear with Cheesy fries and that was just as great
• The cheese was perfect for the fries and complimented the rest of the meal perfectly
• Enough of the praise cos Stokey Bears (Stoke Newington) is a must so put it on your list or just go straight ahead and pick your bear
• I first came across Burger Bear when they were doing their thing in the old Red Market near Old Street
• Traders pitched up with little fanfare (few had anything so fancy as a branded van
• It's a clean utilitarian space with a cool alt rock soundtrack
• I think the staff get overwhelmed in good weather when the seating capacity essentially doubles because the back garden is fully occupied
• We both had the basic cheeseburger which which was the best burger I've eaten in recent memory
• Their definition of medium is still quite pink
• Cooked over charcoal with a nice smokey charred exterior but extremely tender and juicy on the inside
• The patty was quite big with a lovely loose texture attesting to minimum handling during patty making
• Shoe string fries were excellent too
• The house red is an affordable £
• 19 a bottle and is a pleasant Nero D'Avola
