Sri Nam (Canary Wharf)

• This a popular venue for those that work in the area and is very busy at lunchtime
• I guess this venue is popular with the office goers in canary wharf
• The service is probably a bit on the slower side
• While the scallops were fresh the dish did not come together
• The duck my main was nice and had good flavours
• Phad Mee Leang with number 28)
• I went around 7pm on a Monday so was not busy at all
• Plus gratuity was not optional (even though it says it is)
• The food (Rendang) was nice enough but it needed more depth
• I ordered swordfish with cracked pepper and lemongrass from the Chargrill section of menu with a side of sticky rice
• Though there was some fried
• Lunch today was nothing special
• The setting may be nice and peaceful (probably as it is half empty at lunch time) it is because of the food which is ok but for the price
• The tables were a bit close together
• Even though they were busy we were served really quickly and finished in time to walk to the cinema for 7.45
• The starters were overpriced for what they were in my opinion
• Mains we ordered the crispy sea bream with red curry sauce from the specialities menu and the prawn yellow curry
• It tasted very fishy and was a bit overcooked
• The prawn portion was generous and there was a lot of extra sauce which we used to mask the sea bream on the other dish
• We ordered a portion of rice and it was quite large enough for two with rest of our food
• The service was fast and friendly
• The restaurant is spread over two floors in Canary Wharf
• If you're a vegetarian and want some authentic Thai plus spicy food Sri Nam is the only place serving Thai food
• Veg spring rolls and Malaysian veg curry are decent sized
• A word or two of caution not all staff are comfortable speaking English and if you're squeamish about pure vegetarian food
