  • Sophie's Covent Garden is possibly the best steakhouse in the area

  • I've been a few times and really recommend the ribs they come with a very rich and sweet sauce

  • The good thing is you can wait at the bar

  • Easily the best steak house I've been to in london

  • The set menu is a great deal for 2 courses at £

  • The meat was flamed grilled with salt and pepper to perfection for my usual medium rare order

  • LEMON) and they were FAR from tender

  • Was not good either (the bread wasn't fresh and all you could taste was the dressing)

  • Walking into Sophie's Steakhouse is the only culinary decision we truly regret from our 2 week holiday in London

  • 45 minutes later we were taken to a table and seated but left for a long time before our drinks order was taken

  • 15 mins later they came back to advise that they were out of avocado (which was in both our mains) and would we like something instead

  • The food came relatively quickly with the replacement ingredients

  • Very slow service and didn't feel as if anyone was giving our their full attention

  • Even though we were there on a Wednesday

  • Booth table seating with leather backs

  • Is really a great option for someone who is on a budget but still wants to get a steak

  • The portion they give is actually really large and the price tag is significantly less than their other steak options

  • I came here with my family around christmas

  • I arrived first and managed to put our name down as we were a big group

  • Sophie's steakhouse just has a 'normal' steakhouse feel but with a small twist

  • When you go to the bathrooms the huge meat locker is on display and they have a high tech waiting system

  • As soon as you sit down you are greeted by a small dish of sliced meat which was addicting

  • The atmosphere is laid back and not to loud

  • You can easily speak with each other and they normally dim the lights as the night progresses

  • I personally started with the Prawn cocktail with avocado which honestly was a bit of a let down

  • 11 you can get the one of the best half rack of ribs

  • If you are not a fan of sweet sauce then these may not be for you and they come with a bowl of hand cut steak chips

  • The lemonade was a bit too tart and sweet

  • Having munched on the seasoned salami nibbles that were brought to us while reading the menu

  • A group of ten of us came in here one evening for dinner and I was impressed with this upmarket steakhouse

  • Sophie's branch in Covent Garden is centrally located which makes it a convenient starting point for your night out at the West end theatre (or anywhere else for that matter)

  • The cheesecake was incredible

  • The restaurant is big but that doesn't affect the quality

  • The restaurant is big we had to wait 25 mins on a Wednesday

  • The atmosphere is great as we sat close to the open kitchen

  • It was cooked to perfection with only a little light batter

  • The giant fridge with beef cuts breeds intrigue before ordering

  • The service is not only courteous but genuinely friendly

  • Something that is hard to come by in London

  • Dishes and drinks were recommended without being too pushy

  • Good quality food with a great drinks selection and great music

  • The atmosphere was great for the countdown

  • The whole gang visited last week and it was a very good dining experience

  • The service was impeccable from beginning to end

  • Busy fun restaurant they seat you as soon as they can but we're fabulous for us and let us sit in the bar to eat as we were running out of time for the show

  • One of the few places in London that open beyond midnight and best of all it is close to most theathers so you can have a drink or dinner after the show

  • No bookings here but we were only made to wait briefly at the lovely bar

  • The server was very nice as she noted our confusion with the wine menu and let us try several wines before we settled with house wine

  • The burrata was one of the best I have ever had

  • The spicy beef croquettes were also out of this world

  • Starting from the perfect crunchiness of the crust to the pulled beef inside that leaves you with a fiery aftertaste

  • The calamari rings were very good though nothing extraordinary

  • Meat is sourced locally and is mostly grass fed

  • You would expect the steak to be as good as it is at Goodman's

  • The side salad was equally amazing
