Sophie's Steakhouse (Covent Garden)

• Sophie's Covent Garden is possibly the best steakhouse in the area
• I've been a few times and really recommend the ribs they come with a very rich and sweet sauce
• The good thing is you can wait at the bar

• The meat was flamed grilled with salt and pepper to perfection for my usual medium rare order

• When you go to the bathrooms the huge meat locker is on display and they have a high tech waiting system

• The atmosphere is laid back and not to loud
• You can easily speak with each other and they normally dim the lights as the night progresses
• I personally started with the Prawn cocktail with avocado which honestly was a bit of a let down
• 11 you can get the one of the best half rack of ribs
• If you are not a fan of sweet sauce then these may not be for you and they come with a bowl of hand cut steak chips
• The lemonade was a bit too tart and sweet
• Having munched on the seasoned salami nibbles that were brought to us while reading the menu
• A group of ten of us came in here one evening for dinner and I was impressed with this upmarket steakhouse
• Sophie's branch in Covent Garden is centrally located which makes it a convenient starting point for your night out at the West end theatre (or anywhere else for that matter)

• The restaurant is big but that doesn't affect the quality

• Busy fun restaurant they seat you as soon as they can but we're fabulous for us and let us sit in the bar to eat as we were running out of time for the show
• One of the few places in London that open beyond midnight and best of all it is close to most theathers so you can have a drink or dinner after the show
• No bookings here but we were only made to wait briefly at the lovely bar
• The server was very nice as she noted our confusion with the wine menu and let us try several wines before we settled with house wine
• The burrata was one of the best I have ever had
• The spicy beef croquettes were also out of this world
• Starting from the perfect crunchiness of the crust to the pulled beef inside that leaves you with a fiery aftertaste
• The calamari rings were very good though nothing extraordinary
• Meat is sourced locally and is mostly grass fed
• You would expect the steak to be as good as it is at Goodman's
• The side salad was equally amazing
