This Naples style pizzeria was established by Franco and Valentino Ferro
-
The room having a rustic feel with its terracotta tiles and exposed brickwork
-
A classic Margherita pizza was priced at £
-
Antipasti dishes were from £
-
The salad components were of basic supermarket level
-
The sardines oddly tasteless for a fish with such a distinct flavour (11/20)
-
The base a little firm and crisp by comparison with those of my benchmark pizzerias Sacro Cuore and Franco Manca
-
The manager was very welcoming
-
Somewhere I would go back to if it was located at the bottom of my road
-
I had a classic Margherita with tomatoes and mozzarella
-
The restaurant is not costly to be in Notting Hill area
-
Cosy place that was rammed at around three o'clock
-
A kind of golden encrusted fried mozzarella sandwich which is terribly rich but totally delicious
-
A bowl of mussels and clams and the pacchero with veal meatballs in a tomato sauce with parmesan
-
Mozzarella and ricotta were ordered as the mains
-
The grilled sardines were simple and very tasty indeed
-
The mozzarella in carroza was wonderfully rich as predicted and the flavours were brought together beautifully by the intenseness of the tomato sauce
-
The mussels and clams were in a lovely broth and served with Italian toasted bread
-
Whilst the star of the show was undoubtedly the pachero with the meatballs
-
Large tubes of al dente pasta were filled with the most gorgeous
-
Cheesy filling and the veal was light and hugely complimentary to the dish
-
We certainly made the right choice of wine to enjoy with our lunch to boot
-
The rents on Portobello road must be eye wateringly high and the bill for lunch was over eighty pounds I would say a tad over priced but when everything is just right
-
It so rarely is these days
-
We were offered a complimentary glass of limoncello to finish off our meal and the service throughout was really pleasant and professional
-
This restaurant is such a typical Italian restaurant
-
I had also a pizza dell'orto but unfortunately it was not nothing special
-
While Laura Poerio had pappardelle al tartufo and she was really pleased instead
-
Authentic Italian restaurant with good variety of simple tasty Italian dishes
-
I would recommend the parpadelle with black truffle
-
Owners and staff are also Italian
-
Good food and some good wines so it is definitely a good pick for italian around notting hill
-
I ordered the Sea Bass Fettucini which turned out to be the best Fettucini I have ever tasted (and I've tasted a lot in various international locations)
-
Tony had Chicken roasted with Rosemary which was absolutely superb
