Santore Restaurant (Clerkenwell)

• Exmouth Market is a gem of a street with great independent restaurants like Caravan
• Places to drink with Exmouth Arms and Cafe Kick
• Santore is one of the best pizza places in London
• It's great to go with a large group
• Thankfully I didn't have to eat my own words and she was suitably impressed
• The authenticity of a place is always enhanced when you see 'natives' eating there
• Santore amplifies and every time I've been here it's been packed with Italians with a great vibe
• The service is also quick
• This Italian's forte is in my opinion its wooden baked pizzas
• The atmosphere is also very friendly and italian which makes a difference
• The restaurant has a nice terrace option in the summer although tables outside are limited to 5
• Examouth market is the street I walk through every day to get to uni
• The two restaurants are managed in the exactly same way and the owner is in fact the same
• The atmosphere inside is really nice and very Italian
• Sartori and Santore are the best "
• I organized a dinner with my friends at Santore Restaurant (Clerkenwell)
• We did not want to eat too much so we began with a couple of starters
• After starting eating our plan to not eat too much was already gone
• We chose to sit outside and it was so relaxing after a long day
• This is one of the best Italian meals I have had here in London
• The pizzas are particularly good
• The waiters even communicate with each other in Italian
• I went here for lunch with some friends after uni
• The margherita pizza is the best I have ever had
• Mushroom and the final portion was margherita
• One of the best pizzas in London so far
• The location is ok but nothing special
• Luckily there was a small 2 place table where the guests were finishing up and was hastily cleared and prepped for us
• We ordered the Cozze Marinara as a starter and were served a heaping portion of perfectly cooked mussels with bread
• I had the Veal in Breadcrumbs with a side of spaghetti as my main
• Both dishes were very well prepared
• The service was exceptional with our waiter being friendly
• Albeit a minor one is that the tables were very closely spaced
• Had the bresaola to start which was delicious really good quality meat
• Followed by the baked gnocchi with smoked mozzarella and pappardelle with beef and porcini ragu which were both really good
• The malbech was good as ever and a more than decent wine list
• I also often ask for things that are not on the menu like carbonara
• The waiters are only all too happy to cater to these requests especially if si chiede in italiano
• I wasn't feeling too hungry so instead I had mixed antipasti and pasta with porcini mushrooms and ragu
• Mixed antipasti is massive and I had to share it with my husband
• Pasta was cooked al dente and the ragu with porcini was divine
• I'm coming back soon with table booking
• Everything was good and the restaurant was clean with a friendly environment
• Next time I need to save some more space for the desert as this time I was completely full
• The only downside of Santore Restaurant (Clerkenwell) was the slow service
