  • I duly fixed a Thursday dinner date with my Padre at The Salt House to find out what all the fuss was about

  • The Salt House certainly does its best to disprove the theory

  • We were immediately supplied with a refreshing jug of cold tap water complete with a swimming slice of cucumber

  • Even more refreshing was the Darkstar Hophead

  • Synchronised beautifully with the beef and chips

  • I really enjoyed the roast Guinea Fowl with sweet potatoes there the last time I dined there

  • The service was a wee bit slow but

  • Quite possibly the nicest pub I've been to in Central London the staff are friendly and the beers on tap are varied and change throughout the year

  • A rival the best of London pubs

  • Those in doubt can ask one of the extremely friendly staff who are always happy to help out

  • The menu regularly changes in line with seasonal variations

  • One item that is consistently available ( and understandably so

  • The pub's interior is quite modern for a pub

  • The Salt House is by far one of my favourites due to its buzzing atmosphere

  • So for those who are looking for a quiet drink

  • The restaurant has beautiful exteriors and the ambiance is also great

  • The food here is of great quality

  • The elder flower Bellini is outstanding

  • The interiors are warm and welcoming

  • The service is good with a cordial staff

  • The beverage selection especially of wine was pretty good and appropriately priced but as far as the food was concerned

  • The charges were a little steep

  • The ambiance and decor are both beautiful and the restaurant towards the back is also conducive to a family meal

  • The batter was greasy and oily

  • The Salt House (St John's Wood) is interesting and there is something about it that pulls me towards it every time I go to London

  • The selection of burgers is accompanied by a good service by the staff and it is extremely impressive

  • I would definitely recommend The Salt House (St John's Wood) to everyone who is visiting London for the first time

  • I have been to The Salt House (St John's Wood) a couple of times for dinner and must say that the second visit was quite disappointing though I had a nice experience on my first trip this restaurant

  • There were a large variety of beers on offer and the drinks that I had were quite good though I would suggest you to avoid the cucumber wanter as it was quite bad

  • Had quite a mixed experience here the chicken salad was substandard but the pork was delicious and was perfectly cooked

  • The Salt House (St John's Wood) is located conveniently at a short walk from Marriott

  • The service staff is well aware of the menu and is talkative in a sensible way

  • The waiter was kind enough to call a cab for us as it had started pouring

  • I had a very enjoyable meal here and the food was really good

  • The service was also excellent

  • Visited The Salt House (St John's Wood) for a meal with family and it was alright

  • The waitress was a bit confused

  • Our starter which was a soup was extremely tasty and helped warm us up

  • As the bar was a bit cold

  • I must say was bang on with all of its sides

  • The Yorkshire pudding with its gravy was a delight

  • The Salt House (St John's Wood) is among my favorites

  • The staff is very pleasant and helpful which is accompanied by some great food

  • A unique point of The Salt House (St John's Wood) is the weekend specials they have

  • Ideal for a casual drink with friends and also a dinner date

  • The Salt House (St John's Wood) is not living up to its old standard and quality anymore

  • There is music playing in the background but something is very off setting in their surroundings

  • They have alfresco seating with an old fashioned phonebooth

  • A badly handled servicing was a big time put off to me

  • The staff is balanced with old and young people

  • A place to chill with family and have reasonable pricing

  • The Salt House (St John's Wood) is a bit expensive however the food is great and worth trying

  • The portions are rather big as well

  • The only disappointing bit was them getting the mint sauce out of the big cost co style box

  • One expects more when the roasts are priced a little high

  • We had the red onion tarte tatin with goats cheese and the basil crusted chicken

  • The chicken was definitely the better dish

  • 50ish bill was by no means excessive

  • Where we choose to go with friends/woo dates/conduct professional meetings etc is one thing

  • Embraced its proximity and went with a friend for drinks

  • Being a big fan of elderflower I was very curious and felt compelled to try it

  • My siblings and parents ordered the mozarella and tomato salad which looked scrumptious and I was assured that this was the case

  • The cous cous was big cous cous (not the small stuff that I often find a little irritating) and the lamb was succulent

  • One of my friends that I went with this evening liked the texture of the cous cous

  • Jealous of the strozzapreti with peas and beans last week

  • The fish and mushy peas were complemented whilst the tuna was described as "

  • I had fond memories of the brownie with salted caramel ice cream from last week so recommended it for dessert

  • The truffles were served with a tiny pot of mascarpone which did a great job of making the truffles a little less rich whilst still preserving their chocolate intensity

  • To die for as was the ice cream
