Rose & Crown (Wimbledon)

• The Rose and Crown an old Georgian coaching house is probably the nicest building of the lot and fits perfectly into Wimbledon's slightly rural aesthetic
• Particular note are the Hogarth prints on the wall above the fireplace
• Is more of a restaurant and is popular with larger groups
• The food menu is rather good
• Particularly the sandwiches which are very generously proportioned
• The selection of real ales is perhaps more limited than the nearby Hand in Hand or Crooked Billet
• What there is is good nonetheless
• This dog friendly pub is certainly worth a visit and is a firm fixture of the Wimbledon 'pub circuit'
• As pubs go this is one of the best in the village
• If your looking for an old fashioned style pub with locals and an atmosphere then pop down and have a pint or two
• Good pub for sporting events with TV's everywhere
• Nice little pub in the village with a good crowd
