  • Pharmacy 2 is the collaboration between Damien Hirst and Mark Hix &ndash

  • Hix does the food and the restaurant is based inside Hirst&rsquo

  • S but the very idea of it is rather exciting

  • One of the few strong memories I have of my first year in London all those years ago (specifically 2003) was a visit to the original Pharmacy in West London

  • It's fair to say it was somewhat past its best having been open 5 years

  • Themselves had gone missing (I was never quite sure if they were real or not)

  • Yet even by that stage you could see that the idea of marrying modern art and fine dining a baton picked up by places like Sketch in Mayfair in subsequent years was not entirely without merit

  • Damien Hirst is obsessed by death

  • Then there were the medicine cabinets and pill bottles

  • Perhaps their relevance to his favourite subject is that they can bore the viewer to death

  • Pharmacy 2 is near Vauxhall

  • The food side of the restaurant is run by Mark Hix and you can see his influence all over the menu

  • One thing that makes it different to other Hix restaurants is not the amount of art in the space

  • As all of Hix's place are pretty full of art

  • T want to be seen dead with and Caesar salads almost as old as Rome itself are usually the order of the day

  • This joint venture between enfant terrible artist Damien Hirst and serial restaurateur Mark Hix is the in house restaurant at Hirst&rsquo

  • Pharmacy 2 is decorated like an actual chemists with pill bottles

  • We went to Pharmacy 2 (Vauxhall) with great expectations as we booked for lunch three weeks in advance

  • The menu is very extensive with all culinary jargons thrown in which only means that either one has to ask or google stuff

  • I don't know why such trend is catching up

  • We decided and ordered but only to find that our order was not taken correctly

  • In fact it was all messed up two starters never arrived

  • Gluten free main was mixed with normal main order

  • Portions of certain dishes were quite disappointing

  • Vegetarian falafel in mains was more like tasting menu portion while beets starter lacked any flavour

  • The Sunday roasts which were mixed up were also not up to mark

  • Pharmacy 2 is the restaurant located above the gallery space at Damien Hirst&rsquo

  • S a collaboration with restaurateur Mark Hix and
