  • I thoroughly enjoyed this drink and was impressed to see such a range of quality wines from such good wine regions

  • Consisting of gastropub meals with an upmarket twist

  • Their burger is piled high and not the typical dried out

  • The Oyster shed is located right by the river and you get the perfect view of the Shard

  • On a sunny day this is the place to be

  • Drinks are a bit pricey but you are still enjoying the buzzing vibe and a great view

  • We all ordered a couple of rounds and got some chips to eat on the side with our drinks

  • This restaurant had a very high rating and my friend and me were looking forward to eating here

  • This is a nice place but if you are in London on holiday

  • Maybe you can give a try and see if it is to your liking

  • The kitchen is obviously still working out some kinks delivery was glacial

  • The presentation was just garbled way too much "

  • Lively crowd that was mostly formed by tourists the night we were there

  • Probably The Oyster Shed (City of London) can offer better nights but the night we were there was not one of them

  • The bar and restaurant are on the north bank of the Thames

  • The Oyster Shed is big (not as big as The Folly) and has a similar vibe

  • The first thing that we noticed as we sat down at our table on The Upper Deck balcony was the noise&hellip

  • T feel very relaxed up there as the floor moved slightly every time someone walked past and she was irrationally concerned that the whole thing would come crashing down

  • From where we were sitting the music sounded a tad muffled

  • We loved the Wee Willie Winkie candlestick holder and bottle of water was brought to us without it being asked for &ndash

  • In a cute little dish with an onion and vinegar dressing &ndash

  • Shallow fried fish cakes with a fluffy potato and chunky cod centre

  • The standout dish of the whole meal for me was the Pulled pork shoulder with spiced apple sauce £

  • It was served in a cool little Kilner jar with a couple of charred slices of crusty bread

  • The actual pork was a perfect mix of moist tender meat with strands of the more well done &lsquo

  • On top of this was a delicious

  • Spreading these on the bread was a novel way to eat it

  • The presentation was simple too

  • ) serves the best fish and chips in the world

  • It was massive and was held together by a steak knife thrust through its middle

  • A puff pastry lid on a deep dish filled chock a block with chunky steak and

  • The thick gravy was perfect to dip my side order of Skinny Fries £

  • Saff went for the Wednesday daily special of Toad in the hole with onion gravy

  • When it first turned up Saff looked a little disappointed with the size of the serving

  • The Treacle Tart with clotted cream here and the Peanut butter shortbread at The Hawksmoor Spitalfields Bar

  • So my second pick was the Apple pie and custard

  • It was more of a strudel than a pie but it tasted great with lots of cinnamon and a sweet yet crunchy apple filling

  • The only let down was the custard

  • I left most of it but luckily the pie was moist enough by itself

  • S Sticky toffee pudding with treacle sauce

  • Was a thick wedge of dense cake which was a lot more moist than it looked

  • Saff did add that it could have done with some custard (but maybe not the like that was served with my pie)

  • All in all The Oyster Shed is an excellent addition to the already numerous Thames side bars

  • In fact the views of the Shard and Tower Bridge were incredible as we walked back to catch our train home

  • If you are looking for a great place to eat and drink by the river this is one of your best options

  • The steak and chicken schnitzel are amazing and the atmosphere of the venue is really great

  • Very good spacing with seating inside

  • Large and comfortable inside if the sun is not shining and average London drinks prices

  • The Oyster Shed is a beautiful

  • Even though the clientele of suited and booted office workers is just the same

  • We all know how great it is to look at London's skyline from London Bridge and the South Bank

  • The Oyster Shed won't let you forget that the city is just as charming seen from the other side

  • The taste test is quite another story

  • I picked the tagliatelle arrabbiata with parmesan and truffle dressing as my starter

  • I'd have had trouble guessing what it had been made with in the first place

  • I had higher hopes for my main red lentil dhal with coriander sour cream and a side of vegetables

  • While the actual came with aubergines

  • I'd have ordered something else (the roast guinea fowl with kale and mash in the menu sounded pretty nice even though I doubt I'd have managed to fit it all into my already full stomach

  • Most definitely made with yellow rather than red lentils

  • The coriander sour cream was far too fatty

  • My favourite meals are those that combine quantity

  • I'm sorry to say that my experience with the Feast Menu at The Oyster Shed only ticked one out of three boxes

  • After a long walk from Oxford Circus I was in need of something comforting and filling

  • Why an earth are you busy ever night of the week

  • Managed to get through the crowds to the restaurant where we were escorted upstairs to a quaint seating area

  • Yes there was plenty on there to cure the hunger I was tying to ignore

  • The garlic mayo was perfection

  • I wished my portion was double it size

  • Came to the conclusion that it was the best burger he had ever eaten

  • Definitely worth a summet visit if you are city bound
