The Mayflower (Rotherhithe)

• A younger vibrant staff who are all about good standards and service
• Perfect for a freezing cold day and downed with a good pint selected from quite a good range
• What I also like about The Mayflower (Rotherhithe) is that they do this excellent pub quiz which doesn&rsquo
• The pub quizzes here are legendary although unfortunately I've failed to make it for this
• The Mayflower is a beautiful peice of history nestled on the banks of the Thames in Rotherhithe
• The sweet potato and goats cheese pie comes highly recommended and make sure you check out the specials as there was an amazing pan fried duck dish when I went there last
• Fish and chips are my favourite
• The food itself was nice enough
• The atmosphere is oldie worldie and cosy
• Downstairs was heaving on a Saturday afternoon but the dining room upstairs is more comfortable and roomy
• My chicken and mushroom pie with mash was quite artisinal with a very thin shortcrust pastry
• The firm mash was as I like it
• The environment is very friendly and not packed with tourists
