Mandaloun (White City)

• The shisha area outside the restaurant is a lovely spot on a summers day along with one of their refreshing cocktails/mocktails
• The ambience in the outdoor sheesha terrace is pretty chilled
• Every aspect of the mezze was absolutely delicious
• The mouttabel was fresh and the pomegranate seeds and a twist of lemon really enhanced these summer flavours
• The hommous was creamy and smooth
• The falafel was warm and fluffy
• The kibbeh was well seasoned and had an earthiness from the nuts inside
• Finally the sambousek were rich with soft crumbly pastry
• Expectations were high after the starters got off to such an impressive start
• We ordered the Shish Tawouk and the Lamb couscous served with a vegetable bouillon
• It saddens me that the main courses were a bit of a disaster
• The shish tawouk (which is a staple and done so well at many Middle Eastern restaurants) was extremely dry and overcooked
• The flavour of the marinade was also lacking so I ended up having to slop on a lot of garlic sauce to compensate
• The lamb with couscous had promised to deliver Moroccan flavours but it was quite bland
• T aromatic and the couscous was more al dente than it should have been
• Mandaloun (White City) is trying to be quite upmarket but the quality of the food just does not deliver
• I've been here twice and the food was delicious every time
• The portions are very generous and each dish is bursting with flavour
• Is the conventional homous but with marinated lamb and pine nuts on top
• Their arayes were also delicious
• It is also very cheap considering the generous portions that are presented on the plates
• I visited Mandaloun (White City) with 3 of my friends last Tuesday and contrary to the bad reviews that I read about this restaurant
• The server who served us was polite and accommodating
• Food and cocktails tasted great and were not too pricey as well
• I was very surprised after reading the bad reviews of this restaurant which is why I have decided to leave a review of our experience at Mandaloun (White City)
• I had dinner here with three of my friends last Tuesday
• The waiter who served us was very accommodating and when he did not know the answer to one my questions
• The food here was absolutely amazing and mouth watering good
• The food here was awfully bland and tasteless
• The quality of the dishes was very substandard

• The starters were delicious especially the Hummos and Mutabal
• The tabuli was of an average taste
• Kebbe and cheese pastries were hot and nice
• Chicken tawook was chewing yet well marinated
• The ambience is really nice but the staff is not so friendly
• Not too sure why the score is so low but I always enjoy
• S any table available outside so we could dine an have shisha the waiter replied that we are not allowed
• None of the staff informed us with this policy when we first came in
• I was disappointed because I thought Mandaloun (White City) is similar or a branch to Mandaloun in Lebanon
• The decoration is part nice part annoying and the music is quite loud
• The kafta and tawouk are acceptable also
• The lemonade is refreshing
• The shawarma was dry and the lamb cuts were chewy
• After a day of shopping in Westfield Shepherds bush you soon work up an appetite and luckily there are a number of places to eat
• The nandos here is large but the queues also the same so best to head out to the range of shops on the walkway
• The Mandaloun is located outside just opposite House of Fraser and serves up traditional Lebanese food and you can also have Sihsa outside which has grown in popularity
• The decor is nothing too special and it was a cold day out but also cold inside for some reason
• We started with the Falafel Crispy deep fried balls of ground chickpeas
• Just perfectly cooked with a good traditional taste but not too dry and not spicy so suitable for all
• To complement we also had the Kebbeh Halabieh Lamb meatballs mixed with cracked wheat stuffed with minced meat
• Translated these are dry lamb Meatballs
• Had the Mixed grill with rice Selection of grilled skewers
• The chicken and lamb were well marinated and nice charcoal taste (but not burnt) and not dry with great fresh flavour
• The kebab was also really nice and all in all a well put together dish with a good selection
• You also get a good selection of dips with the chilli sauce worth a mention
• You get a little kick of spicy but works well with all the dishes and not too spicy so just right for all
• Another good test of a good Lebanese is the chilli sauce and the right sauce can be the make or break&hellip
• Sweet and I really liked this refreshing drink but I must ask for a lot less ice in the future as you get a few good sips and it is soon all over&hellip
• 50.00 and I am surprised to the read the somewhat negative reviews as I was happy with the food and yes service was a little slow but the staff were friendly and happy to help
• By the way the menu prices on the website are not accurate and have gone up
