LAHPET (Shoreditch)

• Shan noodles and a pork curry were not memorable
• The two salads we ordered were brightly flavored and astonishingly good
• The ginger salad wasn't as aggressive tasting as it sounds and was absolutely delicious
• A restaurant with plenty of opportunities to hone its craft due to its time on the street food and residency circuits
• Lah Pet can best be described as a trendy restaurant/bar serving modern Burmese cuisine
• We thought that the food was delicious and well cooked
• Highlights were the pork and green mustard curry
• The hake masala (served with a tasty potato rosti) and the tea leaf lah pet salad
• The split pea fritters were quite nice but I wasn't a big fan of the mandalay
• Was meant to be cooked with coconut milk but frankly
• Shoreditch is teeming with eateries and this time round we decided to try out Lahpet for its exceedingly exotic sounding Burmese food for a week day dinner
• Covered in plants with lots of wood furnishings and plenty of light through the large windows
