La Luna (Walworth)

• Child friendly but not over run with kids equally suitable for families/groups/couples
• Surroundings are clean and authentic not the most plush but the overall ambience totally makes up for it along with the food and value
• Definitely the best takeaway pizza I have had in years
• The staff were very friendly and we were given complimentary garlic bread for free which would have cost ~£
• 8 each and the quality was evident from first to last bite
• Both pizzas were such an upgrade over the usual dominoes or papa johns
• It is a simple place with a nice ambiance and the aroma of garlic in the air as we entered
• We started with a Caprese Salad "
• The mozzarella was neither fresh nor Mozzarella di Bufala as far as I could tell and there were just four large
• Halved cherry tomatoes surrounding the ball of cheese which was topped with one lonely basil leaf
• Indicating that it wIt was not the worst Caprese I have had
• The garlic bread was actually pizza dough topped with olive oil and salt
• So I asked if they could make me a pasta dish with sausage and friarielli as well
• Authentic it was not as you would never find cream as an ingredient in a carbonara in Italy
