L'Oriental (Acton)

• Our orders weren't taken for at least 45 mins despite my wife and I on numerous occasions telling the waitress we were ready to order and pushed for time
• At this point I asked the waitress if it was possible to cancel the main as we were really pushed for time
• It's a small intimate place which was why I asked discreetly
• So we asked for the mains to be taken away and were forced to wait for them
• It seemed they were just trying our patience now
• The take away was a chicken dish
• The chicken was dry and tasteless
• Easily the best Lebanese restaurant I've been to
• I find there are a lot of vegetarian options to choose from The tabbouleh is fresh and zesty my all time favourite is the Pumpkin kibbeh when they have it
• The portions are fantastic I usually have to ask for a takeaway box if I do get a starter
• The Leban batenjan was also extremely good but enormously rich
• I don't eat it but it is meant to be cooked extremely well
• Finishing with a Lebanese coffee and some of their rosewater cake is incredible
