Il Mascalzone (Edgware)

• The portion sizes are generous and there is a reason it's always full
• The ingredients are fresh and after coming here for years
• They also happily do takeaways (no delivery) which are of exactly the same high standard
• The chilli paste was an overall winner
• Fennel salad was a tempter and we had a mix of red n white sauce pink
• It has to have the best tasting lasagne i have ever tasted
• The ice cream is amazing as well
• Il Mascalzone (Edgware) is so average that the food seems overpriced
• I visited on saturday night with my parents and two young children
• It was like eating pasta with tomato sause
• I was totally embarrassed by my guest this it this is the standard
• I ordered the burratina which was a thick layer of hard cold bread
• No tomato sauce (not stated on menu) and it was all stone cold
• I was disgusted with this service
• Reservation is must even on weekdays
• S so so good stuffed with veggies and loaded with cheese
• S basically focaccia bread with the red sauce gravy and that&rsquo
• Very few restaurants serve this and this was really good
