Giraffe (South Bank)

• The Giraffe is a chain restaurant with good food and service
• The location is very prime as it is on the south bank overlooking the Thames
• This restaurant was very busy and loud couldn't hear my self
• My friend the wings as starter with bbq sauce on them they did look nice
• As main I had the harissa grilled chicken the side was expected to be cold but my chicken not warm at all I didn't enjoy it one bit
• The dessert was cheesecake which was ok and I had a flatwhite which was disgusting
• There is plenty of room and the decor is like other's within the chain
• I felt the acoustics in this particular venue were pretty poor and so it made it difficult to have a good conversation
• I had the Tofu and Squash lakksa which was very flavoursome with a side of sweet potato fries
• I like the range on the menu (although it is difficult to place the cuisine
• I would start by saying that South Bank is one of my favourite areas in London
• The idea of an international menu is intresting
• The restaurant is rather big and its modern and contemporary
• Probably the best Giraffe i've been too in regards to the food
• There's a bar and a small dancing area which makes the restaurant suitable for a night out with friends food &
• South Bank is one of my favourite areas in London great place to have a walk around followed by a pleasant meal with friends
• Because it's in such a great location this Giraffe restaurant is always very busy
• So expecting quick service is sometimes a tall order
• Though the staff are still very friendly
• Also recommended are the tasty sweet potato fries and the quesadillas are also worth a try
• Try and get there earlier in the day before it gets busy as the service is sure to be slow
• Arguably not the best burgers I have eaten but still pretty good
• The decor of this particular giraffe is funky with individual wooden booths so you can indulge in a long chat with friends
• As with all food outlets in South Bank the queues are often long and the service slow
• The cocktails were delicious and made really fast
• They also served my favourite sweet potato fries and were really crisp so I was happy
• The service was good and I would definitely go again
• Giraffe (South Bank) is pretty much always crowded
• The reason is excellent location by the river Thames
• Mixed cuisine is good for catching up with group of friends in case if there are picky eaters
• Veg burger was a little dry but the falafels were not bad
• We were lucky enough to get a table by the window with a river view immediately without a booking the river being a main attraction
• I had the Thai duck stir fry which was reasonably tasty and I would order it again
• The Chenin blanc wine was a good drop
• Chocolate tart with ice cream and cherry compote for dessert also okay
• The caramelised banana waffle is my absolute favourite
• I've also tried the berry crumble which was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was nice but very sour so if you have a major sweet tooth don't go for this
• Coffee and hot chocolate were also very enjoyable
• This restaurant is fun and casual
• Overall the food is nothing special
• We got a table outside and were able to soak in some sunlight (and good view)
• The waitress was friendly as well
• The full brunch is very good and the BBQ chicken and smoked cheddar quesadilla is also very good
• The food and drink I ordered were not so great
• The salad was gritty and I don't know whether that was due to one of the ingredients used or the spinach not being washed properly
• I'm sure the spinach was washed (well I can only assume) but the texture of the grit was horrible
• The dressing was nice and it accompanied the burst of almonds and pomegranate nicely
• I wasn't eating it thinking 'wow this salad is sensational' I was hungry so I ate it
• I actually thought the drink was a pineapple and coconut juice but as soon as I tasted it I knew the coconut wasn't real
• We were obsessed with Giraffe in London
• Average franchise with average service and average food
• Yes it was a beautiful warm evening in London so granted the place was buzzing with life but that doesn't excuse the cocky and laid back service our warm bottle of wine and mixing up our food orders
• They also do good deserts (which is generally the case in the UK) Coffee well
• The tagine was spectacular
• My party reported the enchilada was also tasty
• Buzzing atmosphere combined with good food and satisfactory service
• The vegetarian breakfast plate was delicious Except for the corn fritters
• Greek yogurt bowl with crunchy honey granolas was also perfectly balanced
• The portions were huge and tasty
• The atmosphere was lively and colourful
• The mango lassi was less authentic and more foreign for my Indian tastebuds
• The Enchilada chicken ting was good as well and is quite filling
