Enoteca Pomaio (Brick Lane)

• Contemporary look and feel with an impressive back shelf of wines which we were told were 90% from Tuscany
• We picked a large selection of the dishes from the menu with the gnocchi being a particular favourite on the table

• So let me introduce to you one of Brick Lane's relatively new additions Enoteca Pomaio and it is one not to miss
• Enoteca Pomaio showcases Tuscan wine and Italian small plates to stamp their mark on this section of East London with a flourish
• Every dish has been added to the menu with the utmost care and attention using the freshest of Italian ingredients (90% of their produce is sourced in Tuscany)
• Wine and warm sunny welcome is enough to encourage you back as soon as you leave
• Trendy and minimalist with stripped walls the upstairs area showcases the wines and produce prosciutto you are about to taste
• The flavours are delicious and curiously enticing
• Cooked to perfection with runny yolks liberally covered with truffle and accompanied by juicy melt in the mouth asparagus spears
• The special of the day was beef ragu which was light
• The small details on each plate were clearly executed to a high standard
• A cheesecake which was a swirl of textures
• Be warned the mousse is very rich but worth squeezing in
