The meals here are good quality pub food
On my last trip here the salted caramel cheesecake is definitely something to indulge in
Being a gastro pub the menu takes British pub classics such as fish and chips or bangers and mash and modernises them with seasonal ingredients and an innovative twist
On this visit the quality was good but the portions are small for what you're paying (not the best value for money)
Sampled the mac and cheese bites with truffle oil
Though the chocolate brownie was somewhat lacking in flavour
Wines and ciders that are reasonably priced for London
The Cuckfield is always busy
So reservations are recommended
The only real let down is the hit and miss nature of the bar staff the service will either be super friendly or hostile and miserable
