  • The interior is beautifully laid out as well

  • Since the place is on an open terrace you get extensive views of London

  • Drinks list extensive although the price of the drinks is roughly double than the price of a normal pint in an average pub

  • Standing on the terrace in good weather with a drink in hand a lovely meal to look forward to can make it all worth while

  • Coq d'argent is a rather fabulous venue on the roof of Number 1 The Poultry

  • My first visit to this City restaurant with a roof top garden was on a Sunday in January

  • When the garden is not in use

  • You can appreciate just how well designed Coq d'Argent (City of London) is and take in the views without being disturbed by the usual city boy revellers

  • They do not always seem to appreciate that these deals are an ideal way to showcase the restaurant

  • The service was friendly and efficient

  • This Summer I was lucky enough to be treated to a three course meal at the Coq d'Argent

  • There were some incredible sounding dishes on the menu and it took some thought to come up with my final decision

  • The starter I decided to have the lightly salted beef carpaccio with seasonal vegetables

  • Washed down with a large glass of wine

  • The duck confit with pomme fondante

  • The duck was moist and tender and fell off the bone with ease and the pomme fondante

  • We decided that a pudding was in order so we signalled for the dessert menu

  • Such as baked plums on pistachio shortbread with honey and pink peppercorn yoghurt or a crè

  • A tiramisu flavoured mess with chocolate sponge

  • This was a favourite with my dinner guests and for a good reason too

  • It's really quite hard to describe the flavour but it was basically a small parcel of indulgence with a lovely smooth and creamy texture

  • All in all the Coq d'Argent was a very special dining experience

  • This would be the perfect place to take a date and with its rooftop location an even better place to enjoy after work drinks

  • As you can unwind with a glass of fine wine overlooking the fabulous views of our capital

  • I was there to have a taste of a limited run seasonal dish of creamy mushroom tagliatelle with a selection of white and black truffles

  • M not even sure the dish was officially available yet)

  • Or at least I believe that was this enthusiastic and friendly expert&rsquo

  • S name) were superbly paired with my and my dining partners dishes

  • 9.00 for 100ml) was an outstanding accompaniment to dessert

  • M usually not so impressed with afters on offer at most restaurants

  • E I had here was amazing and actually changed my perception of what this dish should taste like

  • The dining room was lovely and comfortable with nice cityscape views from its fourth storey perch

  • It all starts with the rather cool lift

  • The atmosphere is relaxed and chilled

  • The rooftop is exceptional

  • The service was quick and the bar staff were polite

  • Surely that is why you would go

  • I came here with a friend and they have open place where you can enjoy a drink and take in the view

  • The service was impeccable

  • It was almost as if I was tasting it for the first time

  • It is full of seafood and it is absolutely enough for 3/4 people

  • Cock crab all were absolutely perfect

  • I went with a couple of friends and we very rarely all agree about food but Coq d'Argent (City of London) was just perfect that we agreed

  • The setting is also perfect

  • Dinner started off with a Carpaccio

  • The interesting addition on to this particular dish was mushrooms that were pickled a little bit

  • The plating was really elegant and the pickling of those mushrooms was a great way to introduce some acid into the dish

  • The duck was tender and was accompanied by a rich orange sauce

  • I did order the Potatoes Dauphinoise as a side to go along with my main course

  • The potatoes were just slightly cold

  • The highlight of the meal was the dessert though which was one of the best that I've ever had

  • I started and ended my meal with a carpaccio and my dessert would be this awesome pineapple carpaccio

  • You had the fresh pinapple along with this wonderful vodka lime foam that provided a little bit of tartness in order to balance out the sweetness of the coconut ice cream

  • This dish made the experience here more than worth while and I'm glad I was convinced to spend the extra £

  • The service is quite good

  • The food here was excellent but seemed to be over priced and the quantity was also a bit too less

  • That did not pinch us because the overall experience was just great as the ambience was fabulous with beautiful decor and if one is seated on the terrace

  • The restaurant is not favorable for vegetarians for the menu is very limited

  • The dishes are overpriced and the taste is just edible

  • The steak was under cooked and the foie gras was not up to the mark

  • I must say It was a pretty disappointing choice to go there

  • The service was lacking and the food also arrived very late

  • It was cold at the time it arrived and I must say you should avoid Coq d'Argent (City of London) if you are going as part of a large group

  • The second image is that of a corporate and business venue

  • The price paid is definitely worth it

  • My first visit to this restaurant years back was not quite delighting

  • The place is situated neighboring a bank station and the crowd is typical from the city

  • I was not very impressed with what I had here

  • I ordered the terrine of goat cheese with vegetables and pistachio

  • What was served to me was actually a lump of cheese stuffed with a load of peppers

  • The only saving grace in my entire experience was the food they served

  • The service here is not first level

  • I was not particularly impressed with Coq d'Argent (City of London) and with a sea of other option

  • The restaurant did look intriguing with its incredible interiors and smashing view

  • This rooftop restaurant is a romantic joint and helps you escape the hustle and bustle of the city life

  • I would definitely recommend Coq d'Argent (City of London) for a romantic dinner date with your partner as you are bound to have a good time

  • This restaurant is a treat for anyone who is looking for a pleasurable experience

  • The texture of the foie gras was different from what i had tasted before

  • The duck and the berry dessert was equally good

  • Coq d'Argent (City of London) surprised me with the delicious food it had to offer

  • The food here is ridiculously good and the desserts are a must have

  • The ambiance is also pleasant

  • People who are always suited up and wish to grab a meal during their work hours then Coq d'Argent (City of London) is amazing for you

  • The weather was really good and we were all quite relaxed

  • The ambiance here is quite beautiful with its open air gardens and the mast

  • The bar has very good cocktails which are refreshing and tasty

  • The presentation was very impressive and the mushrooms were a really good touch

  • Succulent and served with an amazing orange curry

  • The dessert was especially nice

  • The cocktails offered in the restaurant are pretty exquisite and the food is pretty decent as well

  • Though the place is full of smokers

  • The food here is also delectable and is quite reasonably priced

  • This is one of the restaurants where people complain about the fact that the place is more hype than substance

  • I happened to visit Coq d'Argent (City of London) last week with a couple of friends and the only good thing that we found about Coq d'Argent (City of London)

  • The food was less than spectacular and the prices were way above from what they should be charging for the quality of food like that

  • The atmosphere is pleasant and it works well as the food served is delicious

  • The food is prepared with great care and attention and the flavors are interesting yet uncomplicated

  • The selection of wine too is impressive

  • The outdoor seating arrangement is also very interesting

  • I was not very impressed by Coq d'Argent (City of London) even though it is much hyped about the spectacular view it offers

  • The drinks are average but overpriced

  • It was a three course meal and the prices were also in a reasonable range considering the generous portions that were on offer

  • The restaurant is located at a prime location and is beautiful from inside

  • The food however is horrible and strictly avoidable

  • The quality of the food is certainly not up to standards and the staff seems helpless

  • The service is swift and the staff is polite but that is not enough to ensure a return visit

  • Some of my friends were in the city for a vacation and we all decided to visit Coq d'Argent (City of London) on being recommended by another friend

  • The food here is very nice and I would suggest you to go for the duck confit which was juicy and was quite delectable

  • The prices are also very reasonable and great value

  • The exteriors are just delightful

  • The garden bar is simply beautiful

  • It gets quite full and we were not able to grab those seats

  • The value for money though is not that good

  • The charges for the meals are though appropriate

  • My order of lamb in fact was tasteless and not properly cooked

  • The service at Coq d'Argent (City of London) is very cold and a little detached

  • The restaurant is absolutely perfect for a nice date or to chill after a long hectic day of shopping and roaming around in the city

  • The prices are steep but then you are paying for the view and not just the drink

  • They have a beautiful garden and terrace which is delighting

  • The selections for set menu were interesting

  • Whitebait and pate both were delicious along with other dishes

  • The service is a disaster

  • It was just average and was served cold

  • The place is only good to have drinks at the patio if you are ready to accept the wait

  • The view from this restaurant is spectacular

  • Even the food menu was pretty diverse

  • The first time was for dinner in the evening

  • The tables were too close together for my liking and it felt just a little too pretentious

  • Whilst the food was good it wasn't mind blowing and I thought it a little overpriced

  • The ski lodge is worth a visit around Christmas but other than that

  • I came at this fine dining restaurant with my client and it w

  • City workers and seekers of fine dining alike have been taken by Coq d'Argent's twist on modern French cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal produce at an affordable clip (considering its location)

  • I've walked away quite content with both the quality of the meal and it's overall value

  • Today I'm here for lunch and was presented with a set menu of 2 courses for £

  • Fennel and cucumber salad was delightful with fish so soft and moist

  • A pure delight to eat but as with any fine dining dish

  • Literally falling off the bone with little to no effort

  • Basil and a white chocolate cream tart was again to a high standard and

  • That's exactly what lunch at Coq d'Argent is an absolute treat

  • A lunch of this quality and cost is too rich for my blood on a daily basis but as an occasion

  • The decor and atmosphere of the place is really elegant

  • I especially loved the little bar they had outside on the terrace that was decorated like an alpine resort with sheep skin cushions

  • I wish there was a better view of the St Paul's cathedral but you can't have everything

  • I tried it with a glass of bubbles at Coq d'Argent and it was sublime

  • Whilst the staff were attentive and helpful there was just something missing

  • Where the place falls down is atmosphere and finish

  • You just need to look for the lift with the name of the restaurants in itialic by 1 Poultry

  • The outside terrace area is lovely and surrounded by plants it was a shame the umbrellas were up as it was so sunny but there is a private area which is completely uncovered

  • Coq d'Argent (City of London) masquerades as a fine dining venue with its decor and expensive wines but is in reality a corporate establishment rather than a restaurant run with love and passion

  • A French restaurant with a medley of European staff ( not one English accent anywhere the night we visited)

  • All these different elements are literally raising London's food game

  • Had a drink with a friend here and enjoyed the setting

  • The fries with truffle/dijon mayonnaise were amazing and the small croissant was warm and buttery

  • The restaurant is accessible through a private glass lift that swiftly delivers guests into the rooftop entrance and one of London&rsquo

  • This elegant French restaurant is a favourite lunchtime spot with city types

  • It was my local when I was based on the 4th floor of the iconic Poultry building

  • This silver rooster is still going strong

  • They have both internal and outdoor seating in their rooftop garden which is beautiful during summer (almost never)

  • Their space is expansive and just all around amazin
