  • My Husband had booked this restaurant for my birthday and was very fortunate to be seated in the conservatory

  • The level of service was the highest I have ever received and really made us feel special

  • We ate off of the fixed price menu which was very reasonable

  • Clos Maggiore restaurant's atmosphere and decor is completely different as compare by anywhere I've been before and the food is also obviously something special

  • The nutty dessert deserves a special mention as it is being one of the very best things I've ever tasted so far

  • The wine menu is also one of the most extensive I've experienced and the isomerism was a great help guiding us through it to select a wine which was

  • This was my third visit to Close Maggiore this time with my wife and two friends as a birthday treat for one of us

  • I do personally think it is really good value

  • Atmosphere and service is still fantastic and nothing to be disappointed about

  • If your searching the perfect romantic place where go with your lover

  • Clos Maggiore is a cocoon in the heart of Covent Garden

  • The restaurant is not very large

  • The cuisine is mostly inspired by French Provence

  • The food is tasty and regarding with the place the price are fair enough

  • To find the best place in town to spend the anniversary evening

  • In that it was neither a roof top place exotic just by locale

  • You never felt like this restaurant is in the busy Covent Garden area and you are in London

  • Especially when washed down with the manager's recommended red wine (of course

  • Booked the best corner for us

  • Any table in the restaurant is a good one (except one very close to the entrance near the walkway may not be romantic)

  • We still think of that evening with a beaming smile

  • Clos Magiorre is a great French resturant located in the heart of London Covent Garden Market

  • We ordered the Honey Glazed Breast of Aylesbury Duck and the Slow Cooked Fillet of Scottish Cod 'Rougaille' as a main meals combined with amazing and tasteful bottle of french wine

  • We were taken to an upstairs room where there are about four or five tables

  • The waiters were also very formal

  • The desert however was a successful coming back

  • I thought it was way overpriced

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) was a great find in Covent Garden where we normally struggle to find good places to eat

  • The food is delicious and the setting is beautiful it's very romantic and perfect for a special occasion

  • Both which were cooked perfectly

  • The setting is absolutely perfect for a special occasion with your significant other

  • The experience couldn't have been more romantic and the food was beautifully presented

  • The best part is that you get all this for a very reasonable price for London standards

  • The conservatory is simply magical

  • The Paris Brest is unmissable but be aware after that dessert you will struggle to find another one so delicious

  • Close Maggiore is described as the most romantic restaurant in London

  • I had to see if this restaurant was worth so many accolades

  • Inside you are transported to somewhere in Italy or the south of France you combine that with good company and it's worth visiting

  • The French cuisine although not varied and very little option is delectable and this is a perfect venue to take someone you care about

  • During the day they're are set menus that bring down the price significantly

  • The quality of food was impeccable and the service was spot on

  • The entire meal was very well prepared and the sauce complimented the dish very well

  • The dessert was also good and overall

  • Is well packed but there is advance reservation service

  • Another upside to the service is they revert back to you themselves if they have a table at the time you required

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is superb for a romantic dinner

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is perfect to spend a romantic meal with your partner

  • The ambiance is perfect too

  • The dishes were cooked to perfection and were delicious

  • The interiors of Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) are wonderful and so enjoyable

  • The service was impeccable and the staff was very attentive

  • I must add the wine list on the menu was very commendable

  • Be very specific for the tables you want when you are making a reservation

  • I made a reservation almost a month back and was still seated in the bar area

  • The ambiance is very romantic at night and we were given a table in the main room

  • The food they serve is delicious and very appetizing

  • The service is also great

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is nothing but unimpressive

  • Nothing worth really mentioning when the senior staff was off hand itself

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is known to be one of the romantic restaurants in this city

  • It has ample amount of space with two three floors

  • The USP of this restaurant is the area which is covered by flowers all around

  • So Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is top notch serving some good quality foo

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) serves really good French cuisines but if you are ordering from their set menu

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is perfect for popping the question too

  • Do go here with your loved one

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) was termed as one of the romantic restaurants in the city and it certainly lived up to my expectations

  • Do not miss Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) if you are planning a special outing with your partner

  • The meat as cooked to perfection and the flavors were coming through beautifully

  • The ambiance and setting within the conservatory was romantic and peaceful

  • Are the wine options on their menu which are not too highly priced

  • The service was flawless and professional

  • I had ordered the fillet on salsa with finely chopped octopus

  • The other starter of rabbit was also yummy

  • My main course included rare cooked venison with venison belly and sausage and vegetables

  • The food was prepared with care and had a unique

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is highly recommended to all

  • The service is brilliant and delighting food

  • On a high end again but restaurant is much worth

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) was a disappointing experience for us

  • We arrived here at the time of our booking and our table was offered to someone else due to the confusion which was on their part

  • I decided to visit Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) with my partner for his surprise birthday party

  • The food here is delicious and absolutely delectable along with being perfectly cooked

  • The most attractive thing about Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is the conservatory though

  • The only suggestion to Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is not to put foie gras in tasting menu

  • If one is looking for a romantic dinner this is place to go to

  • The food here is of excellent quality and quantity

  • The ambiance is so warm and cosy

  • The setting however is still the same and is surely beautiful

  • The problem lies in the quality of the food which has decreased and that is not at all a good thing

  • The price that you have to pay for this awful food is also pretty much

  • I won't be returning here again as their are many places around here to try

  • Even though we were quite late

  • Our main intention to visit Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) was to enjoy a filling pre theatre dinner

  • The service here was very good and the food is also very tasty and full of flavors

  • I had the seasonal tasting and I was very happy because the portions were huge and at the same time they were filling too

  • PS the wine that will come with your meal is superb

  • The place isn't cheap but the service is without fault and unhurried

  • A plate of smoked mackerel and smoked trout with smoked salmon and followed it up by the spinach and ricotta lasagna

  • Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is worth the price it asks

  • A lovely place to dine with your partner

  • The experience here is totally worth every penny

  • In fact it was very beautiful

  • The food how ever was not good at all

  • It was quite greasy and the chef was really confused what he is doing according to me

  • The drinks menu was pretty vast and I would suggest you to stick to that only

  • We were short of time and had to catch a play and they were very accommodating

  • Complementing such a great meal was the excellent location and the beautiful decor

  • I have to say I was not impressed at first with all the fuss

  • The atmosphere and the ambiance here is great and perfect for a romantic dinner

  • The service is a little slow though

  • The food here was absolutely divine and lip smacking good

  • The prices are also reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food

  • The food is excellent and the ambience is quite lovely

  • The service is pretty efficient and the staff is well behaved and friendly

  • The service was pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite friendly and attentive

  • The wine was excellent and the food is pretty reasonable as well

  • The best part about dining here is that they transport one to the gardens in the south of France

  • The ambience is stunning and service impeccable

  • What I like about Clos Maggiore (Covent Garden) is that it is good value for money especially considering the overall experience

  • Their menu is quite varied and offers a range of options

  • On a special evening Clos Maggiore is the place to be

  • The Restaurant itself is a nicely decorated one with fireplace and "

  • Food is good but if i can be honest it can be better as for example i had a fish with a beautiful sauce but it was so heavy that even the following morning couldn't "

  • One other thing that i did not like was the over confidence of the metre and the sommelier who even touched the boundaries of being "

  • Whereas the rest of the people working there were absolutely fine

  • Both the metre and the sommelier were knowledgeable and it seemed that they knew what they were talking about so they could "

  • Wine list was spectacular with many choices from most of the countries that are know for their wines

  • Not big i think it was just the optimum number of choices so from that perspective no problem at all

  • A brilliant atmosphere and sumptuous supper was let down by lack of attention and communication gap

  • I booked two months in advance for my partner's birthday with a special request for a table in conservatory and made a special call to mention my partner's gluten allergy

  • Food was fabulous as expected but we did have communication issues with our waitress as English didn't seem to be her forte which meant whole evening didn't go as smooth as expected

  • Everything was great but nothing we had was extraordinary

  • Simply amazing best restaurant in London so far

  • Besides it is located next to Convent Garden market so you can enjoy a great walk after the meal

  • The ambience in the conservatory was perfect and romantic

  • The poached egg in the soup was absolutely gorgeous

  • I tried the pan roasted Cornish Wild Sea Bass and crisp monkfish cheek which were perfectly cooked

  • Clos Maggiore offers a surprisingly affordable pre theatre menu in what was probably one of the most beautiful venues I've ever had the pleasure of eating in

  • I started off with a foie gras and Perigord winter truffle terrine

  • This was definitely worth the supplement price the terrine was smooth and flavourful and I thoroughly enjoyed the buttery richness of the liver

  • Interspersed with sections of jellied truffle and duck fat

  • The terrine paired wonderfully with the marmalade

  • The sourdough was drenched in butter and delightfully crispy

  • We also had the smoked rainbow trout with a potato and mayonnaise salad

  • The fish also paired well with the delicate vegetables served alongside the main

  • I do wish the monkfish cheek was a bit larger though

  • We ended our meal with some dessert

  • I was also presented with a birthday surprise of petits fours

  • I loved how after the dinner when I ordered tea it came with a selection of petit fours

  • The upstairs is lovely and very low key too

  • Clos Maggiore is officially the most romantic restaurant in London

  • Clos Maggiore is a French fine dining restaurant with their well known blossom ceiling conservatory of which you will need to book months in advanced

  • The mirrors around the conservatory gives the illusion that the restaurant is a lot bigger than it actually is

  • The reason why you have to book months in advanced for a table in the conservatory is because there are only 7 tables (if I remember correctly)

  • We decided to opt for the set lunch menu and I ordered the lamb dish which is no longer available on the lunch menu

  • It was absolutely delicious with my side dish of wilted spinach presented in a rose gold sauce pan

  • I had the shattered meringue cheesecake with raspberry coulis (again not available in the menu)

  • I think they like to switch up their menu now and again which is refreshing and to entice you to come back and sample their new menu

  • The observatory is decorated beautifully and the whole place exudes with romanticism

  • Moving on to the food we ordered a pasta that was by far the most delicious I have ever eaten

  • The service was great and the staff are so pleasant and courteous

  • Considering that I missed the entire event lat year as I was working abroad for a couple of months

  • I figured this year was my opportunity to make up for it so we went all out

  • The ambiance is quite romantic

  • With many lights and the fire place but there is something wrong there

  • The food is good but not the best french cuisine you can find

  • Not as french (even if wall the staff was french) and made me feel a little unconfortable

  • We asked for honey to come with the tea and it took so long for them to bring it that I still think they were extracting it from the bees

  • Famous for its romantic courtyard with fairy lights

  • Clos Maggiore is also good for intimate dinners with friends or family

  • I didn't get to see the courtyard as we were upstairs in a cosy wood panelled dining room

  • Clos Maggiore is a gorgeous French restaurant in Covent Garden

  • Orange blossoms fill the conservatory room and this is a wonderful place to propose or celebrate a romantic occasion

  • S no surprise Clos Maggiore is consistently voted one of London&rsquo

  • Water top ups were okay while drink serving time varied

  • Pigeon breast was cooked to my liking

  • The toast of salmis was overly seasoned for me

  • The salad served alongside this was also a wonder

  • T understand how these three things were meant to create a cohesive dish at all

  • The croquette was of a good texture and tasty

  • Again perfectly cooked with a simple and tasty stock reduction

  • Perhaps this dish was just not for me

  • Surprised me as the smell of vanilla was incredibly assertive when the dish was first presented

  • Unfortunately there were varying degrees of success during other parts of the meal

  • Only thing that knocked off the full 5.0 rating was the space being so limited and I didn't know the flowers were fake took away the Romance of the decor

  • It's one of the best ambiance restaurant we ever dined into and very romantic

  • More importantly the service guys were pretty good in recommending the stuff to you

  • The liquor/wine list is like a medieval novel having thousands of pages for you to choose from

  • Hope you have your story to tell soon with clos maggiore

  • T get to see the courtyard as we were upstairs in a cosy wood panelled dining room

  • Clos Maggiore Just off Covent Garden is the deceptively large

  • Is an attractive dinning area complete with skylight and fireplace

  • The wood panelling and grass like greenery on the walls is a little weird

  • On the bar is an ornamental flying pig which

  • 19.50 for three courses was available and

  • The wine list is exceptional

  • Mark ups vary but are not excessive by London standards

  • Indeed there are a few relative bargains tucked away

  • Kistler Dutton ranch 2020 is listed at £

  • Sudairaut 1996 dessert wine is priced at £

  • Trimbach Cuvee Frederich Emile 2003 was priced at £

  • This is a very enjoyable wine list in terms of breadth and depth but with serious pricing pitfalls for the unwary

  • The presentation was minimalist

  • The presentation was just simply a plate of tagliatelle

  • The pasta was extremely rich and it was missing delicacy and balance

  • The flavours are what make Clos Maggoire &ndash

  • I was served with gluten free bread

  • So I don't feel like an outsider when everyone was having bread and cheese scones that smelled amazing

  • Rico Pork Loin with Apple &

  • The dish is usually served with King Edward potato

  • Another dish that was ordered was the Honey Glazed Breast of Goosnargh Duck &

  • The crispy duck leg is not gluten free so I missed that part

  • The sticks were orange covered with dark chocolate

  • You can expect to enjoy a perfect meal with award winning wine selection in a beautiful and cosy atmosphere

  • Clos Maggiore is supposedly London&rsquo

  • The intimate conservatory area is very pretty

  • Clos Maggiore is tiny weeny and very popular

  • The ambience is extraordinary

  • I had the king crab tortellini and the irish trout with a bottle of red recommended by the somelier

  • The foux gras was delicious as well

  • The restaurant is decorated to look like you are dining in the garden

  • The service was average at best

  • The service is more reactive

  • For London is quite rare as they usually like to rush you in and out to get as many sittings as possible

  • I wouldn't say that any were outstanding but I don't have anything negative to say either

  • The conservatory room is not be missed

  • I was sat in the conservatory the best area at Clos Maggiore

  • I am delighted with the overall service

  • I would most definitely recommend attending for one year anniversaries and romantic dates or if you are planning to propose

  • Went here for my mums birthday on the weekend and we were so lucky enough to be seated in the conservatory

  • The cocktails and food was amazing we ate from the week set menu

  • The truffle mash is definitely a highlight and is a must it was so worth it

  • Had such a lovely time and the service was brilliant they could not do enough

  • They even bought out a lovely plate with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate and some small cakes
