  • Whilst I've been to this Sam Smith's pub numerous times for a drink this was the first time I'd eaten

  • Located on High Holborn near Chancery Lane this pub is a visual gem

  • The setting is perfect for a nice pint in the evening and has a real old time feel

  • The pub fare is pretty standard and as such I opted for the fish and chips

  • It was better than I expected (I wasn't expecting much) with a decent sized portion for £

  • The mushy peas were very plain and the chips were nothing special

  • The burgers are similarly cheap (£

  • I would never go back to this restaurant even after having interacted with the managers

  • Such callous behaviour on part of the staff is not acceptable to me

  • The manager is arrogant and rude

  • Much to my surprise he was more interested in talking on his phone than taking my order

  • Even zero rating would be an over statement for such a club which is too high headed to serve its clients pushing aside their ego

  • This treasure is a beautiful pub with the bar staff mostly busy but not ignorant

  • The building where Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) is situated is very nicely done

  • The food that we ordered here was appealing and appetizing

  • There are basically three types of pubs in this building and all three of them are absolutely brilliant

  • The atmosphere here is great with a good ambiance

  • The service is good with an efficient staff

  • The quality here is consistent

  • I happened to explore Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) as I was advised by a friend of mine

  • I was slightly surprised as the place was very quiet

  • The staff was humble and that is what will make me coming back for more

  • This restaurant although looks packed from inside was not that filled inside

  • The interiors are spacious with a lot of seats available even for a Friday evening

  • The beer and chips are both quite good

  • Piping hot along with chips and beef gravy

  • We especially appreciated the servers who tried their best to accommodate us

  • I recently visited Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) and it was a good choice for drinks but for food

  • The pie I had was pretty disgusting and I left it as it is on my platter

  • I went inside to Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) as i was escaping from a heavy rainfall

  • They have an extensive selection of drinks in their menu which were reasonably priced for instance their gin and tonics

  • You can drop by here with you friends for a drink

  • Like very old and it is still in business so you can make out that the quality of the place is amazing

  • The beer here is excellent and the choices are also very generous

  • If you want to go back in history and enjoy your day then Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) is a must visit

  • Their dedication to brewing everything they sell is quite commendable

  • I know it sounds logical to serve it cold to the customers who like it that way only but in my opinion the case is not the same with everyone

  • Cor is quite good and the atmosphere is always authentic and quite pleasing

  • They have only one kind of beers but these are are quite good and you may try quite a good variety of it

  • Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) is a typical English pub

  • This pub are historic in design and are very appealing

  • Considering the area it is located in

  • The service is good here and the staff is hospitable

  • The seating is also comfortable and not cramped

  • The only negative that some people would find about Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) is that they serve just their own beers

  • The City of Yorke is the kind of place you want to go to when you have people visiting from out of town or from another country

  • I had recently paid a visit and was happy to find that the place lives up to the review i had referred to

  • The interior decoration is pretty interesting too

  • I did not try the food so can not quite comment on it but the drinks which i ordered was appropriately priced

  • Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) is a must see according to me in London

  • There is an underground bunker here which according to me is the highlight of Cittie of Yorke (Holborn)

  • Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) is a casual and chic pub

  • The ambiance and interiors of Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) are antique and unusual

  • The drinks here are moderately priced and will not burn a hole in your pocket

  • The size of the place is enormous and it is usually packed on Friday evenings

  • The best way to have an amazing experience at Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) is to sit in a booth

  • The rest of the place is equally lovely with high and vaulted ceilings

  • The booths are actually the best

  • The atmosphere is pleasant and the place is usually packed with people

  • During my last visit the beer was just about average

  • This is the place whose main attraction is it's ambience

  • The decor is more vintage and it is just beautiful with the lovely historic feel to it

  • I just loved it and was quite amazed by it

  • The food was a huge disappointment and was quite substandard as compared to the place

  • The service is pretty efficient and the staff is quite warm and friendly and would recommend others to try Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) once at least if not for the food but for the ambience

  • Cittie of Yorke (Holborn) is quite old and has a wide variety of beers available on the menu and none of them is disappointing

  • The ambience is quite good and most of the crowd is young and we really enjoyed ourselves

  • Average food and arrogant/ unhelpful staff (except the Italian gentleman at the bar who was nice and helpful)

  • We were visiting London and this was our final night that we wanted to end at a traditional British pub

  • Very disappointed with the experience we hoped would have been memorable

  • The crowd is good and it's one of the best places to hang out with your friends on a weekend

  • Have wonderful memories with the drinks we shared
