The Bank (Battersea)

• This former branch of NatWest is now a Fullers pub and it certainly benefits from the high ceilings and large space
• I went on a Sunday afternoon and was expecting it to be heaving
• In hindsight that is a good indication of the quality of the place
• Unfortunately they don't ask how you want it served and it was slightly over cooked for my taste
• The portions are hearty and will fill the biggest appetites but I was underwhelmed by the meal as i've had better elsewhere
• The potatoes were dry and together with the Yorkshire pudding lacking flavour and the rest simply okay
• A roast may not be the most adventurous meal in the world but there is still room for cooking flare to shine but here I'm afraid it's average at best
