Antonio's Ristorante (Islington)

• The first thing you see is the outdoor seating area
• Has a European alfresco feel that is helped along by the Birra Moretti umbrellas and banisters that adorn it
• The atmosphere created inside is such that you really feel like you have entered some kind of secret cave hidden from the hustle and bustle of the main road
• I think it was my initial excitement at the aesthetics of the place that perhaps meant the standard of food I expected were raised
• Main I had lasagne which again was tasty but not the best I have ever had
• The dessert was disappointing
• All in all the food here was by no means bad
• I went with my husband and ordered the mixed antipasti with crescentina (pillow of fried dough) which was simple but so tasty
• Then I ordered osso bucco while my husband ordered the cocoa pasta with wild boar ragu
• Both dishes were excellent and cooked to perfection
• Crispy and tender in the middle with great flavour
• Service is professional and the cost is good for quality
• This restaurant is hidden away in Upper Street
• We arrived and were greeted immediately
