The Anthologist (City of London)

• Many of you working in City may not have heard about the pub as it is located in the secluded Gresham Street
• Their cocktails are quite good
• Sandwiches and many seasonal dishes made with fresh and quality ingredients
• Hard to get a table although the place is run very smoothly by the staff
• Try the huge burgers or steaks with hand cut fries
• In all honesty The Anthologist (City of London) is a little more expensive than my usual haunts
• I feel like the price differential is evident in the quality of the wine and also the setting
• The main bar is my favourite part but I do avoid it like the plague on Thursday evenings it gets too busy and too difficult to get a drink
• The cocktails are great without being excessively exciting (not a bad thing)
• The bartenders are pretty friendly
• The breakfast fare is good I like the menu for its diverse selection to cater for both the health conscious and the hungover give me fried food types
• The Anthologist is a place I often have a great experience at whatever the occasion
• When in fact it was made from potato
• The ambience is very very hectic
• The restaurant is full of groups having fun
• Perhaps not best for a first date the latter part of the week
• As the room is full of good looking singles
• A General Manager who is a bit of a sort and we had the pleasure of the Area Manager making an appearance

• The Anthologist bar and restaurant is tucked away near the gorgeous Guildhall
• Service was excellent and one of the best burgers I have had in the UK
• I liked the vibe of sharing a big table with others it was cheerful and interesting
• Nice place to have lunch or afterwork drinks with colleagues
