I saw them pop up on twitter saying they were setting up shop in London just a few weeks later
-
When I saw that they were having a soft launch period with 50% off the food bill
-
When we first stepped into The Alchemist we were quite impressed with the decor and style of the place
-
The amber lighting made it a little old school and they had a wall where they were projecting Charlie Chaplin movies
-
The cocktail menu is quite frankly overwhelming there is just so much choice
-
As mine was a manly looking Old Fashioned with a smokey twist
-
I was pleasantly surprised my steak was great quality meat
-
E's burger was pretty good
-
Though not great he said the meat patty was a bit thin
-
How pretty is this ice idea
-
Also I have to say that these ice balls they use are so much nicer than the standard cubes I think that it prevents the drinks from getting too watery
-
) Although she was with her boyfriend on a date night
-
They let us stay with them for a drink before we left them in peace for the rest of their meal
-
Where I could definitely see relaxing with some innovative cocktails with my girlfriends
-
Completing a busy start to the week was a press launch at The Alchemist next to The Gherkin
-
After a slow start in an All Bar One atmosphere with bottles of Sol and houmous on some doritos
-
The poor bartenders have over 58 bonkers concoctions to memorise from a an overlong menu they were all over it
-
Cold Espresso Tini (cold chantilly cream layer and a boiling espresso martini) were causing a stir on the bar
-
Most of these eye catching drinks are around the £
-
There are barrel aged cocktails (the Negroni was a success)
-
Even some mocktails (which are for once appropriately priced at £
-
) also paid dividends with a delightful stirred Mezcal &
-
Citron gomme and water is boiled up at the table
-
The temperature was on the tepid side which didn't quite work
-
The prices are extremely low for the City (long may that continue) and there are some winning drinks
-
Where the bar group is primarily based
-
The Alchemist is a lab of wondrous and fanciful cocktail concoctions that are complex enough to make the bar staff become truly mad scientists
-
The enjoyment comes with a heavy price tag
-
A beautiful building with nice lighting and plenty of comfortable sofas
-
The cocktails are simply amazing
-
All drinks were extremely competitively priced and between the 40+ different ones my friends and I tried
-
The best part was that on a Saturday night it wasn't too noisy or crowded
-
As The Alchemist (City of London) is still relatively new
-
The Alchemist is the kind of saloon you&rsquo
-
The Alchemist is primarily a bar practising molecular mixology
-
This is just what happens with a venue at this size&mdash
-
The Alchemist is impressive
-
What I like the most about the place is their easygoing vibe
-
The bartenders are friendly but the staff can be a little rude
-
The drinks are the star of the night albeit a little sweet
-
My favourite was their in house bottled drink called "
-
The cocktails are absolutely outstanding and prices are reasonable
-
Skyscrapers and scandal is what most springs to mind when you think of the City
-
Complimenting the building's beautiful original features with strings of industrial style lighting and a gloriously polished bar front and back
-
These concoctions aim to please with their signature
-
We started with the Dead Red Zombie a fruity number with a rum base that came in a tall glass
-
Our barman explained that they use a secret ingredient that reacts with the alcohol to produce this ghoulish effect
-
We asked for a recommendation and were presented with the Mad Hatter's Tea Party to share
-
A chemistry set was brought to the table
-
Herbs and fruits were placed in glass beakers and after some boiling and burning and more secret ingredient pouring
-
A fragrant steam was being poured into china tea cups as an interpretation of our little sumer picnic
-
The great thing about The Alchemist is how interactive the drinks feel
-
If you're one of those people who like getting their hands dirty there are even cocktail masterclasses where they walk you through making and drinking some of your favourites
-
This venue is near Liverpool Street
-
The ambience is lovely and it is beautifully decorated
-
You go in there are a few sofas and then an average sixed area to stand if you
-
Contains mainly booths we went on a Thursday and it was quite busy so I would
-
Prawn balls and 2 potato skins with cheese and tomato

The other sides we ordered were salt and pepper fries

T miss retail at all where we can spend our Friday evenings in the sun and enjoy a beer or cocktail with your colleagues
-
Last Friday was an exception
-
I really wanted to see a really good friend of mine who I used to work with back in my retail days and when she&rsquo
-
T have much of an expectation but there was a great ambience here
-
I believe there were a few stag do&rsquo

Their wine and cocktail menu were impressively extensive and as recommended the Mad Hatter&rsquo

S Tea Party was the most popular sharing cocktail and we couldn&rsquo
-
My friend and I were so excited to see the siphon making an appearance to create our Mad Hatter&rsquo
-
Gomme and water boiled up and infused with a fresh fruit mix in the siphon
-
With so much alcohol content in there I was surprised that the cocktail tasted more like fruit water with a hint of alcohol
-
Apple juice and a dash of sugar syrup combined with a little Alchemist magic
-
Orange and apple juice with a touch of mango syrup all garnished with white chocolate foam
-
It tasted exactly like a Solero which is one of my favourite ice creams by the way
-
It was a fantastic evening with attentive waitresses (I had no waiters&hellip
-
Thank you The Alchemist for the complimentary evening of drinks and sharing platter from your menu and I cannot wait to come back here again with my friends

The ambience is vintage chic and lively
-
One of my new favourite places and always great fun hangout to go with friends and meet new people
-
Came here this afternoon with a friend to try there lovely unique cocktails as I have seen and heard about
-
The atmosphere was buzzing but with a relaxed tone
-
The venue is lovely with there over sized sofas very comfortable
-
With some of the drinks you get to buy a Alchemist flask that you keep which is a nice thing to have
-
The location is perfect however a little on the pricey side but trust me it&rsquo
-
I totally fell in love with the atmosphere
