The Albany (Fitzrovia)

• The revamped Albany on Great Portland Street is definitely a pub of two halves
• The street level bar is all newly decked out in blues and greys with huge chandeliers
• Has a relaxing vibe with lots of after work types enjoying one of the rotating guest beers on offer
• Particularly on a summer evening when the sun is still bright
• The last thing anyone should want to do is travel down into the depths of the underground system and brave the sweaty armpit brigade on the way home
• Our plates are barely visible beneath the bounteous helpings of breakfast fodder
• My throbbing head was glad for it
• The Albany is excellent first date territory
• Be My Baby with your musical lover might just be impossibly cute enough to elicit spontaneous combustion
• Nice open plan pub with a good selection of beers
