  • With most of us not getting a chance to really go out often enough this was a very important night

  • We were very happy with both the friendly staff and the tasty food

  • Lebanese food can get a bit bland but this was not the case

  • I would advise the Shish Taouk which was full of flavor as well as the absolutely delicious kibbeh

  • The burger was the surprise dish of the night

  • I really impressed with the value and taste of the burger

  • My brother said that the lamb was overcooked and judging from the look of them you could tell from the start

  • Each dish came with rice or salad

  • I also have to say that the rice was very good as well

  • The mijito were a bit bitter and needed to be sweeter

  • Meant asking off menu questions was a tad tricky

  • There was also a small incident with a smoke alarm going off and staff nor being able or knowing fully what to do

  • So value was brilliant with a tastecard

  • Mezze only available at lunch time which was disappointing basically posh kebab shop that's how I would define the place

  • The falafel could be seasoned there was no wow factor with the food but service was nice and friendly so if you are after posh kebab that's the place

  • Me and my sister enjoyed the milkshake while my parents went with the main platter

  • Well decorated Al Souk restaurant is just a few minutes walk from Gants hill station

  • I went there with my cousin to have some food to fill our empty stomach

  • We ordered for mixed grill and chips with a large still water

  • The information was passed to us in a polite and friendly manner I appreciated that to be honest

  • I thought it was going to be a normal grilled mixed without any special flavour but to my surprise especially the lahem meshwi

  • Promise to come back again with my friends

  • Kofte Taouk and Lahm Meshwi was simply a combination of wonderous meats

  • Filling the palate with middle eastern flavours

  • The pinquancy of the mince was electric and the chicken cubes were delicate and juicy

  • The lamb cubes were tender and succulent

  • I often find chicken in lebanese places dry with just the charcoal taste on the surface but the chicken here was juicy and packed full of seasoning

  • The vermicelli rice was pleasant and buttery and the side salad added a cooling balance to the whole dish

  • I was very dissapointed with the food deliverd to me today

  • The chickpeas that were in the Mousakka were stone hard and raw

  • The aubergine was slimy and the moussaka was also full of onions

  • The pitta bread seemed like it was bought from a local corner shop

  • The potato harra were okay and nothing special

  • The chilli had mould or something strange inside which i was unhappy about

  • It also didnt seem fresh and it was far from being lebanese

  • The best food around in Ilford area came with the wife a few times got the same brilliant service food is amazing and staff is welcoming * just like home *
