Finally made it here for dinner last night with a couple of friends and was pleasantly surprised
-
The restaurant was louder and busier than I expected it to be on a Wednesday night
-
We ordered the Insalata Tricolore and the Bruschetta Caprese to start both of which were very average and nothing to rave about
-
She had warned me that their pizzas are massive and wow
-
22/head which we felt was very reasonable
-
The service was jovial and attentive and I will definitely recommend Al Forno for their generous pizzas and lively ambience
-
Following a great panto at New Wimbledon Theatre and with tummys a rumbling we stumbled upon Al Forno
-
The decor was pleasant with a grand central balcony that is covered with beautiful mosaic work
-
The restaurant both upstairs and downstairs look like a rustic barn conversion that is cosy and inviting
-
The food we ordered was delicious and plentiful with large pizzas and traditional pasta filling our table
-
The parts of the kitchen that you could see in to revealed that EVERY chef and waiter knew EVERY word and I suspect this is a common occurrence
-
The manager joined in with 'the show' alongside all the waiters in the restaurant
-
Overall it was an entertaining experience with yummy food and a welcoming and merry vibe that made you feel like part of their extended family for the evening
-
Medium is good for two and large is good for three
-
The restaurant is just a short walk from Wimbledon station and I just love its quirky interior
-
Probably the best option in the area for a nice Italian pizza
-
Traditional stone bake clay oven and very Italian family atmosphere this is a must if your in the area
-
The spirit of Al Forno (Wimbledon) is what keeps me going back time and time again
-
Brushed with garlic and filled with cheese and ham (if you choose)
-
Even dancing with you on a Saturday night (if you're lucky) and will always end your meal with a limoncello
-
On the whole a great place for a night out with friends and feel like your on holiday
-
Food is good and the waiting staff are characters
-
Lovely decor and nothing is too much trouble
-
They have great service and are well priced
-
I called up and was told no it's two starters I ordered
-
There was nowhere on the menu on Deliveroo saying that that specific dish was a starter and who pays
-
I am really unhappy and this is very deceiving
-
A good Italian restaurant with reasonable prices
-
I came here with a few colleague from work and we ordered a few pizzas
-
Tasty and the portions were very generous
