The Hope (City Centre)

• Recently featured in Time Out magazine as a stylish restaurant bar The Hope is a spacious gastro bar in the downtown of Glasgow city centre
• The breakfast menu is rather simple in choice however the variety is ten folds
• I would recommend ordering the pancakes with strawberry and banana slices topped with maple syrup
• The full scottish is filling however I was not impressed with the haggis
• Evening drinks I found the standard ales and lagers are overpriced with the average larger costing £
• 4.50 although these are premium beers so you get what you pay
• This gastro restaurant bar seamlessly blends in with the days changing times
• Visited here for breakfast a few times and found the menu selection very traditional which was great as I never had the opportunity to sample a Scottish cuisine before
• Found the staff very friendly and the food was served in good time
• If I ever visit Glasgow again and I am located in the city centre The Hope is definitely a place I would visit again
• The hope is one of a few places in glasgow where you can have a breakfast with a coffee in the morning and then drinks in the evening
• I went there a few times with my friends and I was really surprised when I found out that the coffee comes for free with the breakfast

• Wide range of alcohols available at the bar and the interior design is just stunning
• I spent a lot of time in Hope when I was in Glasgow
• The unique thing about The Hope (City Centre) is that caters to diverse moods
• The ambience is nice and the staff is really nice and pleasant
• It was teeming down with rain but luckily it was warm inside &
• We were welcomed with a glass of fizz so all felt right again
• Luckily the booze was flowing and they were handing round some pretty tasty gin &
• We were not expecting dessert so our faces lit up at the prospect of something sweet to go with our drinks
• The invite only launch night was being held at the back of the bar but the front of the bar was still busy
• I can report that the toilets were nice too &ndash
• Any who I linked up with my friend Kwami and to have breakfast
• The only thing I felt it was lacking was the timing
• As we are both over 50 a respectable couple and certainly not drunk i thought it was a joke but he assured us this was not a joke and only allowed us in after telling him we had 2 drinks
• I also mentioned this to the other doorman on my way out who said he was within his right to ask
