Mughal Indian Restaurant (Fountainbridge)

• Newly opened Mughal was all but empty with only one other couple there when we arrived
• Some of the finishing details are a bit slapdash
• The menu is standard Indian fair and with no stand out special/ unusual dishes we ordered a main of Chicken tikka with sides of daal
• Things went ok with clearly 1 chef &
• 1 waiter until it became apparent the waiter was also the delivery driver so for periods of time there was no front of house staff
• He later explained the regular waitress was on Christmas leave so this wasn't usual service
• Eventually our 1 course was served by the chef (waiter out delivering)
• I think for it to compete with the other BYOB Indian restaurants in the vicinity (e
• Kebabish Original) Mughal needs to make itself a destination restaurant with some interesting specials or something (I'm no marketing expert)
• I will probably go back some time as the food was quite good just not that "
• It may not look like much from the outside but this small Indian restaurant is worth a visit if you like Indian food as much as I do
• Their curries are lovely (thoroughly enjoyed my chicken tikka masala) and customer service is fast and good
