Golden Ambal (Leith)

• This restaurant is unusual to the other indian restaurants I have been to as they serve south indian food
• We went inside and realised that we were the first ones so we chose out seats
• Its quite a small area so would be best to pre book if going with a lot of people
• I was glad there was a lot of variety to choose from
• The food wasn't the best that I have tried but probably because it was different to my preference
• The ambience was chilled so i would say overall a good place to dine out
• Especially if you like south indian as there are a lot of options
• The best thing I liked was the mango lassi but I can also buy that from an indian store so I guess nothing special there
• One of the best indian resturant in edinburgh the food is very nice and tastey
• The best Indian currys and the best South Indian food in Edinburgh
• The cobra draught beer was awesome too
• Strongly not recommended if you are very hungry
• I call up and am told that driver has left and food should be with me any minute
• This restaurant is all of2 km from my place
• During my one month stay at Edinburgh there were days I missed authentic Indian food and that's how I bumped into "
• The food was amazing and the ambience was peaceful with good staff who made us comfortable
• Never jump and judge something just with the ratings is what I understood by visiting "
• If u are craving for Indian food this is one place u wouldnt wanna miss
• Was extremely busy on a Saturday night and we were the first to done on a Sunday afternoon
• The filter coffee was definitely not a filter coffee as specified
• Been in quiet a few times before came here again tonight with my partner for dinner
• Everything was really good except mango lassi which I think could have been thicker
