La Lanterna (New Town)

• That Place is La Lanterna
• 5 lunch deal and was determined to try it out
• The Carbonara was delectable and the coffee was both subtle and rich
• Who despite having a full restaurant managed to find a table just for me and were very attentive throughout
• If I had one gripe it would be that much of the menu is not translated into English
• Cosy family run italian with great food and wine
• Service is always good and booking in advance is a must because it is always full
• It would be quite easy to miss if you were just walking by on the street &ndash
• The restaurant is run by a small family living upstairs and hence it might not have the razzmatazz of a popular restaurant
• The first 3 were lip smacking good
• The staff was very courteous must visit if you are in Edinburgh
• So thought it was time for another check in
• The place is highly popular with value hunters
