Indigo Yard (West End)

• Being a Saturday night it was busy so we knew we had to book in advance
• The food came within a good time also considering how busy it was and there were other tables around us that were there for hen parties etc
• There was a good selection on the menu to cater for everyone and there was a few things I had to choose between which was good
• We both had the same dishes which were 'Braised Squid &
• Chorizo Pot with Garlic Croutons' which was lovely
• I would have prefered more pieces of chorizo and garlic croutons as the dish was very much a sauce and a side of bread needed to go with this starter
• This dish was good also but the postion was on the small side I would say
• Other than that the dish was fragrant although I was picking out chunks of lemongrass as there were too many in my portion
• Good value for money considering what you are paying and in the centre of town
• Having booked this for a party of 9 for my 21st birthday I was expecting great things from the bar/restaurant
• As we arrived the place was already extremely packed full of people and hard to move about in
• After telling the waitress our reservation and getting ready to tuck into food as we were already growing hungry we were then told our table had been wrongly booked for 9pm
• As we were eating so late there was a live band which was playing they were extremely loud and made it very difficult to hear anyone at the table during this
• My advice don't go there with a large party and don't go for food after 8pm
• Shandon Stout is about as fine a pint of the black stuff you'll find in the city
• Turning an old yard into a canopied open space with mezzanine dining
• Enjoyed a lovely dinner this evening with a few close friends
• 10' for two course was great value
• The banoffee pie was really good too
• It was pretty busy so service was a little slow
• I ordered the French toast with bacon and maple syrup and it was delicious And also had a mango pick me up juice
• Indigo Yard is a big favourite of mine
• I have taken several friends that were visiting Edinburgh to have dinner there and they all have loved it
• Had the steak pie with chips (which the chips weren't on the menu) absolutely amazing
• The lassie's I was with had the Thai green curry and both of them said it was excellent
• All the servers were friendly and greeted us with a smile
• Recommended great drinks to go with our meal and the menu had a great selection
• I was very happy with the fish I was served
• The outdoors are done beautifully
• The indoor look is pretty decent too
• Came topped with maple syrup
• One of the pancakes was under cooked while the other two tasted pretty fine
• The staff even remembered a cake for her birthday which was lovely and she was so pleased with
