The Devil's Advocate (Old Town)

• I came to Devil's Advocate with a friend for a quick drink while in Old Town
• The restaurant/bar is modern in style but has a rustic edge that allows it to fit in with its location
• The ambience is very chilled and the staff helpful without being intrusive
• They have an extensive drinks menu with an impressive range of wines across a wide price range which I appreciated as well as a sample cocktails which where hard to resist
• I didn't have any food I took a look at the menu and it looked amazing with dishes that were all classical British/Scottish in route which had all been given an interesting modern twist
• We were booked in for dinner with friends and got a cosy booth
• The cocktails making is a show and the results are art
• I would recommend booking if you are a larger group or want food
• The Devils Advocate is in a very atmospheric location and the feeling of intrigue of walking down a misty close is fantastically complemented by the warm and intriguing view through the glass windows
• It manages to be spacious but snug at the same time and though the menu is small you can still find some great options and a super burger

• When I heard the guys at Bon Vivant on Thistle Street in Edinburgh were opening a third restaurant in the old town I knew I had to check it out

• Great scotish food wonderfull music defenetly awesome cocktails with a well selected wine list

• Devils advocate is the place for Drinks and cocktails
