Henry Wong Restaurant (Harborne)

• M lazy) when I was invited to a VIP blogger night at Henry Wong
• Last night was a visit that we were hoping would remind us of our celebratory Cantonese wedding meal we had 25 years ago when we were married abroad
• Henry Wong had come highly recommended and l will say your actual food was delicious but the meal was marred almost from the start
• On arrival we were greeted with almost a grunt and a demeanour of what are you doing here
• We'd have happily waited and even had a drink at the bar that was in front of us but that wasn't even suggested
• We then ordered our drinks which were fine except that we had to ask three times before the additional water that we had ordered was brought to the table
• My son and l were waiting for some time after our rice and noodles and my husbands main had been delivered
• L think we were served by 5 different people
• At at no time were we asked if everything was alright
• All in all we were totally underwhelmed and disappointed and what should have been a lovely evening was an expensive let down
