Wavendon Arms (Milton Keynes)

• I had high hopes for this restaurant as I had read some good online reviews and my initial impressions were quite favorable
• The staff who greeted us were very welcoming and seemed to be enjoying their job
• I wasn't expecting fine dining so not being asked to taste our champagne before it was poured was quite acceptable as the server seemed very jolly and the Bollinger was quite tasty as usual
• After enjoying the starter of the Mezze platter another server stopped by our table to inform us that the kitchen had some kind of problem with the salmon so could we choose something else
• My husband selected chicken but surprisingly when our dishes arrived his chicken was perfectly cooked but mine was hard and chewy
• While there was a dressing
• I had taken a photograph of the menu so I checked and the dressing was meant to be honey mustard it was not
• When the server asked if all was ok I mentioned that the dressing was not correct and she said she would check nothing mentioned again
• Why ask if all is ok if you are not going to act when someone has an issue
• Im hoping this was just a one off bad experience
