Turtle Bay (Deansgate)

• What a beautiful and graceful place to hang out with some friends
• Went on a Friday night and it was full of people
• The happy hour in a great hour with a lot of good options to offer
• After some tooing and froing I opted for the West Indian steamed fish which was flavoured well
• Rice and peas were on the meh side for me while Caribbean slaw was more like standard coleslaw (albeit more colourful)
• Food ticked the right boxes and Turtle Bay (Deansgate) is made purposely for groups
• Walking into Turtle Bay felt like I was walking into a surf side cafe after a long day out at the beach
• Our table was ready to go and we were kindly taken straight to our seats
• The concept of Turtle Bay (Deansgate) is great but the food could be more authentically Caribbean
• Even though I was there pretty early and it wasn't rimmed
• Went to turtle bay with a few of my friends as an end of year celebration
• To save us money we were also recommended to download the app
• So I visited here earlier this month with my husband
• I had duck open roti to start which was really weird for my taste but my husband's crispy squid was delightful (although cold)
• Main I had the salmon curry with sticky rice
• Hubby had the jerk chicken breast with fries and the chicken was super tasty and juicy
• Drinks wise there isn't a great choice as no flavoured cider and I didn't want a cocktail but I went with a rum with cucumber and watermelon tonic which was lovely
• Also it was difficult to get anyone's attention to order another drink so had to use the bar and same again when wanting to get the bill but all in all we was very happy and will visit again
