Cane & Grain (Northern Quarter)

• Waitresses were very attentive and approachable and delivered high quality service
• The wine went really well with the rib meat dishes and the cocktails were nice too
• Specialising in ribs we were famished and ordered a selection to share including slabs of St Louis and Memphis style spare ribs
• After recently visiting Big Easy in London for their St Louis ribs these were in contrast a disappointment
• The ribs appeared to be rather small with a lack of meat and were a bit dry
• The dino rib was absolutely humongous when it arrived at the table
• The dino rib comes from the short loin and is cut with a lot of meat left on the bone
• The rib was well smoked and the meat was tender and cut off the bone with ease
• Last weekend I popped up to my university town of Manchester for a rather messy reunion with some friends
• The weather was absolutely glorious
• My three greats are for the place itself
• Me as an avid meat eater was more than happy with the choice
• Serving very good cocktails and american branded beer with many other options
• The Cheese Hush Puppies are very tasty
• Basically like an american style mixed grill but was superbly cooked
