York & Albany (Camden Town)

• The whisky sour was well balanced
• The service was fine dining with a casual edge
• Everything was outstanding in a classic Gordon Ramsay way
• The show stopper for me however was the dessert
• What can you expect from a man with 3 michelin stars opening a pub
• I stayed at York and Albany with my boyfriend as a surprise a short while ago
• It was attractively presented and the food was very fresh
• Refreshing breakfast to enjoy whilst laying in bed with the one you love
• This is because my overall experience was fantastic although I am yet to try a meal there
• A Gastropub food was quiet good
• Service for drinks was a bit slow but helpful staff and freindly
• Tastefully decorated with a great atmosphere
• The desserts are very good (you expect them to be at £
• The topping was a bit too wet
• Tried the chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream
• All the flavours are perfectly balanced
• Atmosphere was good and service was great
• I ordered the squids from the starters which were undoubtedly one of the finest squids I've had I'd highly recommend if you like squids
• The staff was very hospitable and although we were an hour late
• York & Albany (Camden Town) is highly recommended for its food and of course
• We arrived over an hour and a half early for our table (we had over estimated the time we would spend at the zoo with our five year old)
• They accommodated us with a table in the restaurant without batting an eye lid
• Drink and relax and order our food when we were good and ready
• Daughter had sausage and mash which you would think would come with carrots maybe
• After mains were cleared we asked to see desert menu
• ))) We were told that chef was sending something from the kitchen to acknowledge the starters had taken such a long time to arrive
• Asked for the menu so that we were able to order desert wine etc
• Each time told it was because chef was sending something
• Did not clarify if ice cream was included for daughter and we still wanted desert wine
• Desert plates cleared and finally drinks arrived just as we were about to tell them it was to late
• The title of Duke of York and Albany was first granted in the 18th century
• The last person to hold it was Prince Frederick Augustus
• Maybe they were just too busy marching
