Villandry Great Portland Street (Fitzrovia)

• I went to Villandry on Great Portland Street with a friend of mine for a late dinner and we stayed fascinated by the cozyness of the venue and the delicious menu they offer
• The restaurant is located a few minuties from Regents Park and closest tube is Great Portlant street
• The prices for the main meals were around 15 20 pounds
• To finish this marvelous night in this amazing restaurant we ordered a red wine per glass called Malbec Belasco de Baquedano with price of around 8 pounds
• The service they offer is more than supreme and I stayed charmed from that place
• The steak was a 28 Day Dry Aged Galloway Sirloin with Roast Pepper Relish and Rocket Salad
• Just a statement that rockets are a perfect companion with roasted meat
• Fondant to linger on after the feast spent hours as the venue was comfortable
• Not overwhelming no one interrupting your indulgence with frequent attempts for orders
• The place is sophisticated but that is no barrier for enjoying the food
• This Cafe located at Great Portland street is a elegant cafe with pleasing interiors
• Cauliflower and roasted almonds which was good as the roasted almonds gave the veggies a crunchy texture
• The mains we ordered the 10oz Galloway Sirloin Steak which was well done as we had asked for and came with some roasted peppers and rocket salad
• The other main we ordered was the Smoked Haddock and Wester Ross Salmon Fishcake which was soft in texture and had a blend of good seafood flavours
• We also ordered the Margherita Pizza which was made in thin crust and was really tasty
• Since this meal was filling enough we just ordered one dessert to share which was warm chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream
• The fondant was like a small round cake with warm chocolate oozing from the center
• The lobster was not very meaty and came with either a small portion of salad or chips
• This was quite expensive and was not worth it
• The cocktail was pretty good
• We were given a variety of dining arrangements with comfortable seating
• The room was dimly lit which made this hard to see the special board which was tucked away in the corner
• Situated in the bustling Great Portland street is really an all purpose food location
• While the cafe is perfect for a hot chocolate enjoyed on a red leather couch with dim lighting on a cold day
• My favorite is the brownie
• The blueberry cheescake is also very good
• The food overall is of high quality
• I had the eggs royal (paoched eggs on an English muffin served with smoked salmon) which were very good
• The first time they were served to me
• The home made granola with Greek Yogurt from Villandry stays my favourite in London
• My friend had the scrambled eggs with salmon and toast
• You really feel like the ingredients are of good quality
• I had the simple margherita and was very satisfied with it
• I have also tried the Lemon grass prawn salad which is on the healthier side and tastes very thai
• If service is more important than the food on your plate
• Or you don't express any reluctance to change my meal if I have a problem with it) They're nice
• Because it's a really nice place with so many options to choose from
• I don't think this is the best place to go
• The entrance of the restaurant is quite unassuming but once you step in
• The look and feel of the restaurant is quite grand
• The restaurant was bustling with people on a Thursday evening but thankfully we were perched into a little corner of the restaurant
• The mains were surely very good the chicken was soft and tender while the gravy with the sea bass was delicious but it couldn't compare to the standards set by our starter
• It easily rates as one of the best desserts I have ever tasted
• Well one can't rate it obviously it is THE best variety of tea
• The cakes and pastries are awesome and the dinner menu offers up decent bistro dishes
• Ordered C focaccia but was not correctly ordered
• Had to wait a longtime for a small sandwich on a Sunday was not even very busy
• Especially combined with flower arranging
• Zomato had invited me along to Villandry in Great Portland Street for a spot of flower arranging with Moyses Stevens
• Who seriously have the best looking flowers I have seen
• A few blogger friends and I were schooled by the ladies of Moyses Stevenes in the fine art before settling in to multiple tiers of sandwiches
• Villandry on Great Portland Street is a beautifully large
• The restaurant is actually composed of different sections including a take away counter/store
• Grrrrrrrreat food fish n chips were probably the best I've ever had (granted I'm from the States
• So that's not saying much) but the spinach sweet potato galette was also top notch
• Its coffee (Americano with milk) doesn't leave a dry taste in my tongue
• The restaurant is an escape point from traffic jam and noise street in Piccadilly
