Penang! (White City)

• The Malaysian eatery is nestled along the restaurant walkway at Westfield shopping centre
• We ordered a beef rendang curry with jasmine rice a Malaysian speciality dish
• Though there was a good little kick of chilli every now and then
• The char kwey teow was again alright
• The restaurant is fairly small and yet there was quite a long wait for just a jug of water
• Not a good thing if you got a little too excited with the chilli sauce
• The deep fried sotong (or calamari to you and I) were standard but nothing special
• The chicken curry was rich but a little lacking in flavour while the noodles were probably the best part of the meal
• Was a little spicy for me but I was told its best enjoyed hot
• The interiors are pretty modern and the food is mainly street food from Malaysia
• Took us 30 mins to pay because the card machines were not working
• The Nasi Goreng rice was really good
• I was quite excited to be introduced to the best of what the cuisine had to offer at Penang
• The decor for Penang! (White City) is quite cool and perfectly suitable for casual meals with family and friends
• I was quite pleased that I finally visited Penang! (White City) with friends last week
• I ordered the Beef Rendang with Roti Paratha
• Jasmine rice and Mee Goreng Noodles and were quite happy with their meal
• Staff's attentiveness was disappointing to see as it took a long time before we got our bill after we had finished eating
• Even though there isnt a great variety on offer this is a fairly good place to experiment Malaysian cuisine and have an nice and enjoyable meal with friends/family
• Good food but the service was so disappointing that even after a nice meal we felt upset
• The attitude of the person serving us was so poor that it really put us off
• Tried the pad thai and it was just too sweet
• So last week I was really craving something a bit different
• I relied on Google for some inspiration and I was pointed towards Penang
• My friend and I are big fans of all kinds of Asian food
• Very quickly were taken care of
• Our server was very helpful
• We started with Gyoza Sayur
• The sauce they were served with was absolutely fantastic
• My main I had the veggie version of Sayur Campur with jasmine rise
• My friend had Mee Goreng and was very happy with it too
• My friend had fresh mint tea with big mint leaves floating in her glass
• Been here over 10 times all the staff are lovely and helpful
• It was a good Malaysian restaurant with decent to good tasting dishes
• It's not the best Malaysian food I've ever had but it's pretty nice
• The service is friendly and attentive
• Considering this is our favourite food types
• That is self explanatory of the fact that it was worth the trip here again
• The food here is quite nice
• Ve tried most of their veg fare and what helps even more is that they can make some of the non veg dishes to suit the vegetarians
