O Bombeiro (Harlesden)

• I didn't know what to expect food wise as it was vegetarian ((natch) and as a total carnivore was blown away by the food
• When the group were let loose for a few hours once a week
• Wine and sea food and it was a joyful experience
• As this restaurant is in my local town of Harlesden and every time I'd driven past in the evening it was pretty full
• The king prawns with a side salad were a no brainer
• Flown in frozen from Portugal was the perfect dunking partner for the delicious juices
• Fresh and drizzled with the wonderful oil and vinegar on the table was perfect
• My friend Zina chose the steak which was accompanied by an absolutely amazing vegetable cake from Madeira
• A cabbage and garlic concoction which is cooked with oil and cornflour
• The total bill was just over forty pounds
• We ordered lamb chops and a steak kebab (which could easily feed two persons) washed down with two glasses of red wine
• What really impressed me was as we were leaving we were told we could not go just yet as we did not get our free glass of port
