Mezze (Stratford)

• We shared a bowl of Baba Ghanoush which comes with some warm pitta bread and is exactly what is needed to keep the hunger bangs at bay and restore shopping energy
• It could have used being a bit warmer but was excellent quality and drizzled with some olive oil
• Asked staff whether the falafel mezze was vegan and was told yes it was
• I explained this is a serious problem for someone with an allergy and wanted to speak with the manager
• The server went to talk with him and he ran off and hid in the kitchen
• The falafels were rock hard and tasted weird
• The hummous was nothing special
• The spicy potatoes were spicy but otherwise totally bland
