Layali Lounge (Clapham)

• Definitely a must try and try the mango madness with Malibu cocktail it's to die
• Saturday night was date night and seeing as Steph Maxwell couldn't hobble much further than our front door
• We decided to try out Layali Lounge (Clapham) as it was close and we love Lebanese food
• Packed full of people smoking shisha and playing cards but we were able to grab a table as long as we smoked shisha (which we had every intention of doing obviously)
• The table was a 20 quid Ikea job which was well worn by the weather paired by two seats which were far to high for the table
• The houmous was slightly too smooth for my liking but it was still
• The winner of the night was the thickly cut and beautifully salty halloumi which was was pretty epic
• After we had these dishes we moved inside to have chicken shawarma as the table wouldn't allow us to eat with a knife and fork
• Sparse tables and the service was very sporadic
• The chicken was well flavoured but too fatty for my tastes
• I still enjoyed it when paired with the garlic sauce though
• The 'starters' were awesome and the drinks can't be faulted (nor can the shisha) but its not a meal type place
